Known for doing exactly what his name brings to mind - knotting together two vital aspects of dance music - a driving deep bass sound filled with a mix of sinister and at times uplifting vibe, is mostly how BassVibe's sets have come to be described. It is also one of the reasons why his sounds resonated so well with the people of his hometown (Kochi) and why he quickly became one of the most discu
ssed names in the Kochi underground music scene. Fully aware of the fact that his stage name sounds as "Cliche" and "Mainstream" as possible, Abraham George (as he's more formally known) has not let that dissuade him from wearing the "BassVibe" moniker proudly and showing sceptics that he delivers on what his name promises. Getting into DJ'ing to share his love of music with the world early in 2014, he has garnered quite a following and in such a short period of time has managed to showcase his skills at most of the state's highly popular venues and has had the opportunity to open for, mentor under, and share decks with a number of Industry leaders such as Jonathan, Alan Marshal, Midnight Traffic, Greg Tomaz, Praveen Achary, and Hozho to name a few. Having honed his skills at Music Production from 'Beatworx' - One of Bangalore's finest music production schools, under the mentorship of Ashrith Baburao, one half of the DJ duo - Audio Units. He is currently working on a number of music projects of his own. Drawn towards the sense of belonging that came with undergound music even as he was first introduced to it, he aims to do the same for other people by engaging and educating people about the scene mainly by Managing, Curating, Organizing and involving himself with a number of Underground events with groups like "The NSFW Project", "411", "Grooveworks", and "COKCRYPT" to name a few. Furthermore he runs and curates a monthly Radioshow aptly named "Revelations" which takes a step away from normal underground music radio shows by intensively aiming to educate people on underground dance music by providing its listeners with tracks that he believes they can correlate or communicate better to and eventually help discover their love for, in its due course.
