It gives us immense pleasure to inform you that GEMS Akademia International School (GAIS) is organizing XANADU 2012 with the objective of providing a platform for young students to display and showcase their talents and to imbibe universal values of sportsman spirit, camaraderie and bonhomie, and world citizenship through cross cultural interaction. GAIS in its second year has decided to organize
such an event catering to the students of junior, middle and senior school. We, at GAIS believe that a school must act as a lighthouse of society for providing meaningful education, spiritual direction and leadership to students, parents and the society. One of the biggest challenges that we face today is bridging the gap between generations. The competitions scheduled in this two daylong event are unique in respect to Inter-school competitions. They all have their own benefits as far as students are concerned which are mentioned along with rules and regulations of the events. We have chosen these competitions to change the mindset and perception that exist regarding some popular student pastimes, eventually, resulting in the bridging of the generation gap that pose as an obstacle between student-teacher and child-parent communication and understanding. If the minds of today’s youngsters are like ‘mines’- rich in gems of unparalleled value, XANADU 2012 strives to discover this treasure.
