Somu Mitra born and bought up in Kolkata, she started her career as actress, her best from theatre, then she did few serials in Calcutta named Kushajokhan, famous novel like Sarath Chandra Chhattopadhya, Novel Baradidi, then she shifted to Mumbai and associated with B.R. Films, she acted in Chengish Khan, Kanoon, Directed by Ravi Chopra, also she was famous in serial Hindusta
ni directed by Puneet Issar, then she did her experience in different zone. She was associated as a executive producer and associate director with some project also produced couple of Bengali Project and her director first Bengali video album Bhalobashi Bangal Maa Ke, music by Bappi Lahiri very famous in Bengal and got Kalakar Award also. After that she formed her dance and performed with lots of celebrities like Kailash Kher, Shaan, Adnan Sami in India and Abroad. Then she design and organise lot of big events with all famous celebrities of Mumbai and Kolkata and all over the globe. Then al together she put her effort and talent and started a company called Roop Entertainment.
