The Sunday menu is a complete party order by my foodie patron.
Goat mutton boneless pcs marinated overnight in saffron infused curd cooked flavourfully with basmati rice n potatoes,served with masala daal.
The succulent chicken pcs cooked in rich creamy gravy of curd n cashews with spices n served with fry potato wedges. The melt in mouth goat brain cutlets are delightful starters.Please excuse me for repeating Gajjar Halwa,it's better to eat it while the season for pink carrots is on...

Greetings to all.First n foremost,thank you all for your best wishes n prayers for my mother.She is better n recovering. 🙏
My first menu of the year starts with pulao made with succulent chicken thighs and leg boneless pcs n saffron infused basmati rice,served with masala daal/veg dhansak daal.
Savoury mutton gravy served with potato straws.
Prawns masala fried with potatoes.
Creamy Bake Custard with dryfruits.

Vasanu...our parsi chavanprash...made with varied nut flours like almond,walnut,pistachios....as well as healthy flours like wheat milk flour, udad flour is used.But the herbs n spices like sattavri, pipramul etc makes it more nutritious n fit to rejuvenate our body.This nourishing fudge one tbsp is enough for healthy start in morning...

It's biryani on Sunday n I couldn't be happier as my whole kitchen will be aromatic.The chicken biryani will have a whole chicken leg cooked with potatoes in saffron infused basmati rice n served with cucumber raita.
Prawns have a special place in my menu as they are always pre-ordered, n I am dishing out homemade masala fried prawns with potatoes...
Chicken Cheese Balls are savoury appetizers...

Dhanshak,
quintessential parsi dish, and most famous Sunday dish on my menu.This simple dish of lentils cooked with varied veges and later mutton or chicken is slowcooked, adding massive punch on flavours.Dhanshak is served with caramelized onions topped on brown rice and kacumber.
Mutton Mince Kebabs is a great accompaniment to this dish.
Masala fried prawns with potatoes is an exceptionally tasty dish.
Creamy rose milk custard with jelly is delicious, ending your meal with sweet notes.
Food is for eating

Malido... a sweet delicacy,especially served as offerings in our ritual prayers. Traditionally, malido was always prepared by priest wife or by 'goramai'/lady who cooks all prayer offering foods with great piety n religious traditions.In Navsari, we had Pillamai.
I have a memorable incident with this majestic lady.I must be hardly 6 or 7 years old and have accompanied my uncle to carry back all ordered goodies...
As we entered,the whole house had fragrant aromatic air, and my eyes fell on a big sieve... There were small, crispy, thick round pooris in it, and I wanted to grab one...
These crisp flour crisp flatbread are the first step to velvety malido...

Prawns,not from frozen packets but only fresh prawns,thus elevating Pulao taste.I simply love the masala drenched potato cubes in Pulao.This time I am making beetroot-onion raita to be served with prawns pulao...

So it is on 23rd April,Sunday... two varieties of Dhanshak,Chicken n Mutton, and will be served with brown rice topped with caramelized onions n kacumber...
My Easter menu could not cover these chicken thighs, n as I love to glaze them with sizzling butter,making this delectable dish with mushroom pepper sauce...
Prawns Kebabs needs no introduction... every bite there is Prawns....
Bhejas are already preordered, and so very limited order will be taken...Bheja cooked in homemade green masala...
Ending with our triple pudding of cake,fruits, custard n jelly with nuts n raisins...
