We are happy to present a vocal concert by city’s eminent vocalist, Vid. Bellary M. Raghavendra, at 6.00 p.m. on Wednesday, 11th December, 2024 at Veene Sheshanna Bhavana, Ganabharathi, Adichunchanagiri Road, Mysuru.

Vid. Raghavendra hails from the family of well known musicians; Vid. Venkateshachar (father) and Vid. Sheshagiri Achar (uncle), popularly known as Bellary Brothers. He was trained by his uncle, who was also an eminent composer, besides learning from his father.

Vid. Raghavendra holds a masters degree in music, is an ‘A Grade’ artist of All India Radio in Karnataka classical, devotional and light music. Blessed with a dexterous and vibrant voice, he is known for popularizing Dasa Sahitya gifted to him by his illustrious predecessors. He is also proficient in Morching and Kunnakkol. He worked in various parts of the State as an executive in AIR and recently retired as Asst. Station Director.

Senior artists, Vid. N.N.Ganeshkumar and Vid. Tumkur B. Ravishankar will provide support on violin and mridanga respectively, while Vid. Vikram Bharadwaj will accompany on morching.

We are happy to announce that Vidu. Dr. Rekha Sreeramachandramurthy, Bengaluru will present a vocal concert at 6.00 p.m. on Wednesday, 9th October, 2024 at Sri Lakshminarasimhaswamy Temple, SBM Colony, Srirampura, Mysuru, under the auspices of Sri Thyagaraja Sangeetha Sabha Charitable Trust.

She will be accompanied on violin by Vidu. Varalakshmi R., disciple of Vid. H.K.Narasimhamurthy, while mridanga and ghata accompaniments will be provided by Vid. B.R. Sreedhar and Vid. T.N.Ajay, respectively.
Vidu. Dr. Rekha Sreeramachandramurthy is trained in Karnataka classical music under Vid. B.M.Munivenkatappa, Vidu. M.V.Sreemathi and Vid. Dr. C.A.Gurudath, she got her training in Hindustani music under Pt. Chandrashekara Puaranikmath. She is also a disciple of Sri M.R. Keshavamurthy in gamaka vachana. She has done her masters degree and Ph.D. in Karnataka music and ‘Shastriya Sangita Visharada', in Hindustani music.

We are happy to welcome all music rasikas to a Karnataka classical vocal concert by Vidu Srilakshmi K J. at 6.00 PM on Saturday, 28th Sep, 2024 at Sri Lakshminarasimhaswamy Temple, SBM Colony, Srirampura, Mysuru.

She will be supported on violin by Vidu Dr Veena Suresh, on mridanga by Vid Vikram Bharadwaj and on morching by Vid Kiran Barighat.

Born in to Kakarla family of musicians and music connoisseurs, Vidu Srilakshmi underwent musical training under the guidance of Karnataka Kalashree Balasubrahmanya Sharma, Ganakalanidhi Salem P Sundereshan and Ganakalashree Kalavathi Avadhooth. She has completed Vidvath and masters in Music with distinction.

Vidu Srilakshmi is a 'B High' graded artist of AIR and has given many thematic and regular performances in Akashavani along with her guru Vidu Kalavathy Avadhooth, as well as solo performances. She has performed in several sabhas of Karnataka, including Ananya Cultural Academy, Karnataka Ganakala Parishat etc., besides lecture demonstrations and thematic presentations.

Immensely happy to present a classical vocal concert by Vidu Shruthi S Bhat at 6.00 PM on Saturday, 21st Sep, 2024 at 'Veene Sheshanna Bhavan, Ganabharathi, Adichunchanagiri Road, Mysuru.

Vidu Shruthi S Bhat will be accompanied on violin by Vidu Shrilakshmi S Bhat, on mridanga by Vid Pavan Madhav Masoor and on ghatam Vid Shrinidhi R Koundinya on ghata.

Shruthi S. Bhat, is a talented musician hailing from Kukke Subrahmanya. With deep commitment towards music, she was initiated in to Karnataka Classical music under the tutelage of Vid Shreenatha Marathe in Mangalore and Sangeetha Kalacharya Chengalpete Ranganathan, Kalaimamani Shrimushnam Raja Rao and Vidu Padma Sandilyan in Chennai. Later she continued her higher training under Sangeetha Kalanidhi Dr S Sowmya. She is also getting trained in Hindustani music under Dr Sriram Prasuram. Shruthi also did her advanced course in Carnatic Music from the Madras Music Academy with distinction and M.A. in Music from Madras University.

A ‘B High grade’ artist of All India Radio, Shruthi has bagged several accolades such as ‘Yuva Kala Bharathi’ from Bharath Kalachar, ‘M S Subbalakshmi award’ from Bhramara Trust, ‘Musiri Subrahmanya Iyer award’ from Sri Krishna Ganasabha, Yuva Kalamani from Mani Krishnaswamy Academy and like. She has performed widely in the southern states, including Madras Music Academy, Parathsarathi Ganasabha, Narada Gana Sbha, Srikrishna Gana Sabha, DD Podigai, Karthik Fine Arts, Mylapore Fine Arts etc.
