Wedding Photographs have the potential to be beyond just 'good looking images'. That's what ShaadiGraphers try to capture. Till around 2010, the bulk of wedding photographers in India came cheap and took very basic pictures, focusing mainly on documenting specific rituals and almost every photograph was posed. But over the last few years, with the advent of social media, Indians woke up to the kin
d of photography that was available in the west - were many photographers managed to capture real moments and emotions, beyond just posed couple and family portraits. And slowly, some Indian wedding photographers started calling themselves 'candid wedding photographers' and started changing the way Indian wedding photography worked. We were one of those change-makers when we started off in 2012. While few years ago, there were just a handfull of the so called 'candid' photographers (and most of them were pretty good), today the candid wedding photography market is mind blowingly over populated. The traditional wedding photography studio realized the new demand and started selling 'candid' as a service just as the earlier 'posed' service existed. All kinds of photographers - good, bad and ugly were soon calling themselves 'candid photographers'. Who could stop them? For many Indians, who have consumed photography mostly from fashion magazines and Instagram - it is easy to regard a photograph that captures a face and clothes with blurred background, as a good photograph. In fact, some don't even realize that so many of so called 'candid' are not genuinely candid at all! We the ShaadiGraphers work very hard to show you honest and real candid photographs can be as beautiful. Afterall, Indian weddings are not just about faces and clothes; they are about the confusion, the chaos and the joy and vibe that builds up when a large number of relatives from different parts of the country (and often world) come together to witness something special. We are artists, not service-providers. And we hope to be there at your wedding to create the kind of art, that is beyond just good looking!
