NARTANA KIRTANA – THE CENTRE FOR DIVINE ARTS.
BAHARATANATYAM- BHA=BHAAVA, RAA= RAAGA, TAA=TAALA.
The culmination of these three elements, baava, raaga and taala is divine art called BHARATANAYAM. All the Indian classical dances are the divine gift from the god himself which are rich in these three elements. Classical dances are the means to reach god and get united with him. The union of jeevaatma with paramaatma. Classical dances enhances our knowledge, attitude, behavior and develops the personality .
Why Nartana Kritana Dance class for your child.?????
1- Students learn the Bharatanatyam in its purest form and professionally in the Maragam system. They develop spatial skills, gross motor skills, memorization and retention skills. They develop courage and confidence. The stamina to dance for 1 ½ hour will be developed. Choreography skills develop.
2- Style followed is kalashetra .
3- Students are given intense training in Adavus(basics of Bharatanatyam) for two years.
4- The text ABHINAYADARPANA is followed according to Akhilabharatiya Gandharvya Mahavidyala exams. The Sanskrit slokas from the text is taught to the students.
5- Students practice the rhythm with metronome. Rhythm is very important element in dance.
6- Students are trained in Nattuvangam from the initial stages of learning only along with the recitation of the adavus, jatis and the songs which they learn to dance.
7- The students are trained in the basics of carnatic music, which is a must for dance. The students understand the different taala( sapta talas), rhythm, Raagas and Shruti. The aspect of “Shrutir Maata and laya Pita” Shruti is the mother and rhythm is the father-is taught to the children.
8- They will be trained to give the Akhilabharatiya Gandharva Mahavidyalaya exams- National level exams.
Certificates are considered in the 10th and 12th exams.
The certificates are considered during the placements also.
The certificates are also equivalent to the B.A and M.A degrees.
The students will face many viva in these exams which will give confidence to face any situation, interview, face audience, people in real life.
9- The students through the dance class will be inculcated with Indian values, respect for Indian culture and they will represent our country during each performance.
10- The students will be trained for Arengaetram- the dream performance in each and every dancers life .
11- The students are also trained in Surya Namaskara and Pranayam for their health.
12- The students are trained in the dance make up skills too.
13- The Students are also trained to teach other children in the class where in inculcated the teaching skills in them.
14- The students who are 8 years and in 3rd standard are only eligible to join the class due to health reasons.
15- The duration of the class is approximately 1 ½ hours to 2 hours.
16- The classes at Tingre Nagar- Wednesday and Friday 4.30 to 6.30.No-1, first floor, Maitri Park, Lane 13, near 13n, kaken gas road, Tingre nagar, Pune 411032.
17- The classes at Lohegaon- Thursday and Saturday. Lohegaon classes-Cute Kids Montessori, Narayan Park B 101, opposite to pathare wasti, Vadagaon Shinde road, Lohegaon, pune 411047.
18- The monthly fees is 1000/person/ month. Total 8 classes- 2 hours each class.
Arengetram So far done by- Swati, Aishwarya, Reshma, Aradhana, Roshni and Amrithaa.
Profile of Dr. Lakshmi.B.Sivakumar, the Bharatanatyam dancer
Dr. Lakshmi is a disciple of Karnataka Kalasri, Guru Smt.Vasanthalakshmi at Vishruta School of Arts, from Bangalore, and she had her initial trainings under Guru Smt. Subhadra Prabhu and the dancing duo of Sri .Kiran Subramanyam and Smt.Sandhya Kiran.
She is also a graded artist for Doordarshan.
Lakshmi has an association of over 30 years with dance, which has taken her to perform at various venues and events across India and U.K.
Lakshmi has been conferred doctorate by the University of Bangalore for her thesis on Dance and Sanskrit.
Lakshmi has performed at many venues across India, including major dance festivals like Hampi Utsav, Purandaradasa Festival, All India Poetess Conference, Ankura Festival, the Natyanjali at Chidambaram, Nadaneeranjanam please see the detailed list attached.
In the year 2004 Lakshmi was invited to perform by the prestigious Nehru Centre, London, which was followed by a series of performances across U.K. during that visit, please see the detailed list attached.
In recognition of her talent the Military Engineering Services Hyderabad have conferred on her the title – “Natya Kala Kusuma”
In the year 2002, duly recognizing the talent and proficiency of Lakshmi, the Department of Culture and Kannada, Govt.of Karnataka bestowed the task of holding a workshop on dance, music and drama at Vijipura, the event sponsored by the Govt. of Karnataka, showcased another facet of Lakshmi in successfully conducting the workshops, as the outcome saw the well groomed studends, Lakshmi’s efforts brought due laurels to this dedicated artist and appreciation from the Govt. of Karnataka
Lakshmi has showcased her talent on television screen as well and she has worked with luminaries like the late Sri.Shankar Nag,in the teleserial “Malgudi days”, which was telecasted nationwide on Doordarshan Channel,with Sri.Girish Karnad, with Sri.Nagabharana and Sri.Suneel Puranik in kannada teleserials for Doordarshan Bangalore. Presently she is working as a Dance teacher at Army Public School-Kirkee
