For many, the layakaari might seem ‘simple’ and easy to master. However, like Guruji says: Simple is Not Easy!
By layakaari in this video, I mean ‘everything in between’ the whole number guuns. Like 2.25, 2.5, 2.75…etc!
Also, a perennial question: Do Kathak dancers really need this level of mathematics? Aren’t we dancers first? And shouldn’t it suffice to ‘be able to move body gracefully’?
Well, there is beauty in mathematics. And it is fundamental to becoming an accomplished performer. Whether you realise it or not, you have been indulging into mathematics from your very first ‘dha’!
