Viene de un nombre de juego de palabras maya
YUM KAAX uno de los 13 dioses mayas, señor de los bosques y cultivos.

Desde Guerrero México, YMBX ha sido impulsado por la música toda su vida, a temprana edad tocaba sintetizadores cpu en pequeñas bandas de rock, y cuando terminaba la fiesta, como dj en pequeños eventos underground de su ciudad, que iban desde Punk, Rock, Metal, Alternativa al Jazz, Sonidos experimentales y étnicos.
