Eternal Scorn is a four piece Thrash Metal band formed in the year 2012.

Eternal Scorn has played in many major metal shows like Serene Atrocity, Shillong Deathfest, Callous Amass, Rhapsody, Winter Mosh, Southern Inferno to name a few.
Eternal Scorn has released 4 singles "Nuclear Hands" in 2015, "RCD and Seeker of Violence" in 2017.
"Betrayed Sycophant" in 2022 taken from their upcoming EP "Built For Mayhem " in which they will be releasing on the 14th of October 2023.

All Killer No Filler!! We present to you all Shillong's very own hardcore influence Catatonic

Catatonic is a metallic hardcore band from Shillong, Meghalaya. Formed in 2021, amidst the carona virus lockdowns. They started out as a deathgrind band, but have now started incorporating more punk, thrash and rock influences into their music.
Catatonic made their debut gig at Guwahati supporting Godless "States of Chaos" album tour, Performed at Havoc Hours, Hessian Aggression, Diphu Deathfest, Mobacracy 2.0, Kounter Kulture etc.
Catatonic has released 3 Singles with a Split Ep.
Influences ranging from bands like the Melvins, Converge, The Jesus Lizard, Sonic Youth, Queens of the Stone Age, etc.

Next on the lineup is old school death metallers from Guwahati Hymns of Hadean
Hymns of Hadean is an old school death metal act from the valley of Assam. Drawing major influence from the 80’s and 90’s metal sound, HOH is an old school death metal band which primarily focuses on sociopolitical and psychological issues.
They have released their latest single "Tryst with a bullet" which is avaliable at YouTube.
And played major metal shows such as Guwahati Deathfest, Propagrind and opened for Tom Fountainhead(Obscura) at Dethfest Kolkata.
Influence by bands such as Cannibal Co**se, Deicide, Morbid Angel, Vital Remains etc.

Next up we have Shillong's very own Deathcore band Still Status

Stillstatus was founded in 2006 by the core members Aibor and Solomon on guitar, Anderson on vocals, Larry on bass, and Aubrey on drums. Their music was heavily influenced by the Melodic Metalcore and Deathcore genres that were prominent in the 2000s. Stillstatus has likely developed a unique blend of metalcore and deathcore, incorporating elements of heaviness, melody, technicality, breakdown and lyrical themes into their own music. This fusion allows them to create a distinctive sound that appeals to fans of these various subgenres within heavy metal and hardcore music. The band's strategy paid off early on when they participated in their first competition as a band and secured second place, showing their potential and determination. Following their initial success, Stillstatus began playing at various local shows in and out of their home state, Shillong. The band had the opportunity to open for several notable bands, including Albatross during their "Flies Kissing" tour, Calouss Amass, Empowering young guns, Serene Atrocity, Hailstorm fest, Hessian Aggression, Meghalaya Grassroots Music Project to name a few. Stillstatus released two demos, 'Existence & Take This Life' and 'Second Chances,' which helped them further establish their presence in the metal music community. In recent years, the band continued to create music and released a single and music video titled 'I'm a Sinner.' This release was made available on digital platforms like Spotify and YouTube, expanding their reach to a wider audience.

Representing the hardcore scene of NE India, we are please to announce the next band on the list none other than Retromist
The band Retromist had its humble beginnings with two founding members, Phulee (from Haflong) and Nammy (from Tripura). Their journey began with a discussion on heavy music during a Zoology class. Phulee assumed the role of the vocalist, while Nammy took on the guitar duties. As a two-piece band, Retromist embarked on their musical journey, searching for a suitable drummer. They collaborated with multiple sessional drummers across various locations, including Gangtok, Agartala, and even BRMF 1, spanning from early 2018 to early 2019. In mid-2019, the duo crossed paths with Sunny (Nagaland), their current drummer, through a mutual acquaintance. Sunny joined the band after the first jam session. Retromist primarily performed as a three-piece outfit, clinching the first place in the Band Hunt organized by The Telegraph as part of the Telegraph Food Fest. They also graced the stages of the Barpeta Road Metal Fest (second edition) and played in Darjeeling, Delhi, and Dharan, Nepal. In 2019, Kung (Karbi Anglong) took on the role of bassist, expanding the band's lineup. With Kung's addition, Retromist participated in the Wacken Metal Battle and emerged victorious in the Northeast leg, alongside Wreckless Shadow. The band recently welcomed a new member, Nobel (Meghalaya), who assumed secondary guitar duties. Retromist's latest addition played in Arunachal as the newest member of the band.
Influences: Retromist's musical evolution began as a fusion of doom metal and heavy metal drawing inspiration from early influences such as Candlemass, Judas Priest, Acid Bath and obituary However, their sound gradually transitioned towards the punk / hardcore side of the heavy music spectrum, characterized by dirty guitar riffs, d-beats, and raspy vocals drawing inspiration from bands like Bleach, Man is the bastard, Iskra, Nausea, punch, Cerce, ACXDC, Babes in Toyland etc.
