And, by the way, the area is still closed to traffic except for the scientists and members of the SAR of Iceland, so if you are in Iceland right now, wait until the experts have given the green light ;-)

Aurora at Seljalandsfoss
I went out with a good friend last night to hunt the Northern lights as the forecast was good. It was a partly cloudy night at first, but it cleared around midnight. The activity you see here is rather unusual, as the lights are flickering and flashing rapidly across the sky.
