Third and final recital at the Alagna Music Festival, with pianist Simone Pedroni and flutist Sara Andon performing pieces by Nino Rota, Claude Debussy and John Williams.

The Williams selections presented brand-new arrangements by Simone Pedroni for flute and piano of Jurassic Park, The Sugarland Express, Dracula, The Patriot, “How Can I Remember” from Sabrina and a suite from Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban. Once again, the duo created magic with their heartfelt performances, giving new life to Williams’ stirring compositions. All these arrangements will be part of a new album with Pedroni, Andon and Cecilia Tsan.

As an encore, the duo performed a moving arrangement of Ennio Morricone’s Cinema Paradiso, as recorded in their album “Cinema Morricone.”

We’re glad and happy to have been part of these joyous days of music and we wish the greatest success to this amazing group of musicians.

First of the three recitals at the 9th Edition of the Alagna Music Festival a resounding success! Cellist Cecilia Tsan and pianist Simone Pedroni performed a program with pieces by John Williams (Theme from Schindler’s List, Seven Years in Tibet and the Three Pieces from Memoirs of a Geisha) and the Sonata no.1 op.38 by Johannes Brahms. The Williams pieces were performed with warmth, grace and expressiveness, and the Brahms sonata was a masterful reading.

Looking forward to attending the next two performances i the coming days!
