Be aware of your stress level. It essential to take responsibility for your stress. While it may be difficult to get in touch with your stress level when you can’t find five minutes to sit still, taking a few minutes to relax and listen to your body’s messages regularly is crucial to your health.
The yoga tool for today is Child’s Pose is a true resting pose and one that you can hold for long periods without the need for props.
It’s super calming for the mind.
It’s great for your digestion
It elongates the lower back.
It opens up the hips.
It reminds you that resting is a good thing.

Give Yourself Yoga
Use yoga to restore your holiday spirit during this shiny, sparkly season. According to ancient yogic Ayurveda theories, this is also Kapha season. This is the time when you want to slow down, eat warm foods and take naps.
Give yourself all of those things and then give yourself a few yoga postures. They don’t have to be wrapped in pretty paper or perfectly put together, they just have to be yours
A simple home yoga practice is the most portable thing that you can keep with you no matter where you find yourself over the next few weeks. All you need is You.

YOGA TO KEEP YOUR HOLIDAY A simple home yoga practice is the most portable thing that you can keep with you no matter where you find yourself over the next few weeks. All you need is You. Don’t be afraid to escape into your own space and break out these yoga poses to calm your nerves.

DAY 2 The asana of the day is: Pigeon Pose
It’s a deeply relaxing posture that eases emotions, especially if you tend to feel lonely during the holiday season.
I encourage you to play with variations during your time in Pigeon:
- Lay your chest on a pillow.
-Place a book underneath your forehead.
-Open your arm and let go!
Anything that allows you to pause and hold for a full round of “Jingles bells.”

SET AN INTENTION TO CARE FOR YOURSELF
With the cold temperatures and maddening rush of the holidays upon us, it’s extra important to make time to take care of ourselves, body, and spirit. A simple home yoga practice is the most portable thing that you can keep with you no matter where you find yourself over the next few weeks. All you need is You.

Don’t be afraid to escape into your own space and break out these yoga poses to calm your nerves. I've thought about a few ways I can inspire you for the holiday season, and support you.
During the next few days, I will post on Instagram, Facebook,, and Pinterest a few yoga asanas and holiday tips to create your Yoga toolbox to keep your Holiday calm.

The asana of today, this one of my favorites:
Pyramid or Intense Side Stretch
We tend to hold frustration in our hamstrings, including holiday tensions. Luckily, the pyramid stretches both the hamstrings and the waist so we can get up and over ourselves

🧘‍♀️HATHA

Hatha Yoga è la base di tutti gli altri stili, una pratica essenziale ma profonda, che si concentra sul controllo del respiro e dei movimenti, per ottenere elevati livelli di concentrazione, e ottimizza il sistema nervoso.

🧘‍♀️ VINYASA

Ciascuna lezione di Vinvasa è diversa e divertente. Le sequenze sono creative e sono pensate in base alla stagione, l'orario, ciclo lunare e sopratutto con l'energia di chi si trova sul tappetino.

🧘‍♀️ YOGA STRESS REDUCTION
Ogni lezione è diversa. le sequenze sono pensate per diminuire lo stress e finisco la pratica con una meditazione.

🧘‍♀️ YIN YOGA

Le Asana si mantengono per un tempo più lungo utilizzando il peso del corpo ed i props per allungare i tendini e i legamenti in modo da poter raggiungere una maggiore mobilità e facilità nei movimenti.

For a long time, meditation was sold in a way that made many people wary of its actual benefits. But now, we know this practice of sitting calmly, focusing on the breath, and watching thoughts come and go can actually produce physiological shifts in the brain and in our ability to cope with the stressors of life.⁣

Neuroscientists have backed up these benefits by observing changes in brain scans when people meditate. A regular practice has even been associated with increased grey matter in the hippocampus, the area related to learning and memory, as well as areas related to self-awareness, compassion, and introspection.⁣

It’s for all these reasons, and more, that I consider meditation a foundational pillar to good health. I used to think I didn’t have time for meditation but now I know I don’t have time NOT to do it—it’s become that integral in helping me manage all of my other many responsibilities and passions. Since starting, I’m happier than ever, have found the love of my life, and my business is rocking.⁣

You’ll quickly discover, as I recently did, that once you calm your mind, it is so much easier to make smarter choices about food and exercise. Your relationships get better. Literally everything in your life improves.⁣

The effects of chronic high cortisol and other stress hormones on our brains depletes brain power and leaves us tired, sick, and fat. You don’t need 30 minutes of meditation or an hour-long yoga class to lower those stress hormones. ⁣

A 2-minute breathing practice, yoga, or meditation exercise can do wonders for your mind and body.

MUDRAS
Have you ever seen yogis making different symbols with their hands and
wondering what they meant? These are called mudras! A mudra is a symbolic gesture, seal, or posture. They usually involve only the hands but can
include the wrists, elbows, and arms .
There are known to be over 1000 mudras. In yoga, they are usually used
as an aid to meditation and healing or as a way to manifest or cultivate
energy or presence in our practice. For example, the Jnana or Gyan
mudra represents concentration. If you are feeling demotivated or lacking
attentiveness in your practice, this may be a mudra you wish to use!
It is thought that by positioning our hands in certain shapes, we can
unlock and alter our energetic, physical, and mental states. Mudras are
used to stimulate different parts of the body and guide energy flow to the
brain and beyond.
If you bring mudras into your practice, it’s best to hold a mudra with both
hands and for at least a few minutes at a time.
