These photos were taken in 2020. For a long time, I didn’t have the strength to share them. They are tied to a story of courage and hope, but also to pain I experienced firsthand, standing beside someone very dear to me who fought against cancer.

On that day, this extraordinary woman was not only celebrating her wedding but also five years of being cancer-free. Photographing her was an immense honor, but also a deeply emotional moment for me. I relived every fear, every hope, and every moment of clinging to life, with the understanding that the battle against cancer is not just fought by those who face it directly, but also by those who stand beside them.

Today, on World Cancer Day, I want to dedicate these images to those who fight, to those who have won, and to those who didn’t make it, but especially to those who love and support. That emotional support can make all the difference.

Let’s never stop believing in the strength of life.

🇮🇹Queste foto sono del 2020. Per tanto tempo non ho trovato la forza di pubblicarle. Sono legate a una storia di coraggio e speranza, ma anche a un dolore che ho vissuto in prima persona, accanto a qualcuno a me molto caro che ha lottato contro il cancro.

Quel giorno, questa donna straordinaria non solo celebrava il suo matrimonio, ma anche 5 anni dalla guarigione. Fotografarla è stato per me un onore immenso, ma anche un momento profondamente toccante. Ho rivissuto ogni paura, ogni speranza e ogni istante in cui ci si aggrappa alla vita, con la consapevolezza che la battaglia contro il cancro non riguarda solo chi lo affronta in prima persona, ma anche chi le sta accanto.

Oggi, nella Giornata Mondiale contro il Cancro, voglio dedicare queste immagini a chi combatte, a chi ha vinto e a chi non ce l’ha fatta, ma soprattutto a chi ama e sostiene, perché quel supporto emotivo può fare la differenza.

Non smettiamo mai di credere nella forza della vita.
