In EIFLES | SELFIE: the participants and the audience of the Nitto ATP Finals are the real protagonists of the performance. The work by Michelangelo Pistoletto, invites staff, spectators, umpires, residents of the city and even the 8 players of the tournament to participate in the creation of this ‘signature’.

We renewed our long-standing partnership with CNMI through another edition of the Sustainable Fashion Awards at Teatro alla Scala. The event celebrated the incredible work being done by emerging designers, historical brands, and groundbreaking organizations to create a more sustainable and ethical fashion industry.

The Third Paradise, created by Michelangelo Pistoletto, was once again used as the image to embody the National Chamber of Italian Fashion’s commitment to sustainability. From the guests’ invitations to the blue carpet, the Third Paradise symbol served as a reminder that the future of fashion lies in creating designs that not only look beautiful but also respect the planet and its resources.

From innovative materials to circular production practices, the projects that were honored represent the immense effort being made to shift industry practices. The symbol of the Third Paradise, representing the harmony between artifice and nature, is the key to a better future.

A huge congratulations to our partner, Lenzing, for winning the Biodiversity and Water Award for their groundbreaking “Glacial Threads: From Forests to Future Textiles” pilot project! We were honored to collaborate on this innovative project with Lenzing and to see it receive yet another incredible honor.

By promoting curiosity and innovation within the fashion industry, we aim to find solutions that benefit everyone. It outlines a path to a greener future by recognizing nature’s intrinsic rights, protecting & enhancing ecosystems, managing resources responsibly, adhering to standards of transparency & accountability, and committing to training for continuous improvement.

Started off fashion week strong with Ana Tafur, Colombian designer and founder of the sustainable fashion brand , kicking off our FASHION OTHERWISE talk series, glimpses on sustainability presented by Accademia Unidee and Fashion B.E.S.T.! 🌱

In her inspiring talk, Ana shared her incredible journey from the fast-paced world of mass production to creating a sustainable and ethical fashion brand in Peru. By working closely with local communities and utilizing ancient techniques like knitting and natural dyeing, Sake is not only preserving cultural heritage but also promoting a more sustainable future. On top of this, the brand is a pioneer in sustainable innovation creating their own biotextile made from resin extracted from Amazonian trees.

As a Fair Trade Certified brand, Sake ensures that every piece of clothing is produced in a way that benefits the Andean communities they partner with. Ana’s dedication to ethical fashion and her commitment to supporting local artisans is truly amazing and we can’t thank her enough for sharing it with us!

🌍Earth Day Torino 2024 Recap🌱
 
Alongside Humana People to People Italia we were invited to participate in the incredible initiative, , organized by AWorld dedicated to fighting climate change, environmental preservation and social inclusion in Palazzo Reale di Torino
 
The artwork “Changing Rooms” curated by CTRLZAK Studio (Katia Meneghini and Thanos Zakopoulos) created in collaboration with students from Accademia Unidee, ITS TAM Biella, and Humana took center stage in the Royal Court.
 
A space that invites reflection and awareness, those who enter can browse 100 ways to create sustainable fashion. It calls us to change our “costumes” and customs in the way we choose to buy.
 
In the Earth Market, acclaimed designer Flavia la Rocca alongside Accademia Unidee student Luisa Mertina, used second hand clothes, kindly supplied by Humana, to lead an upcycling workshop.
 
It’s only been three weeks but we can’t wait for next year!

X-Ray Fashion è arrivato a Cittadellarte!

Il pluripremiato documentario in realtà virtuale racconta la storia controversa della produzione di abiti nell’industria del fast-fashion.

Siete invitati a partecipare a questo viaggio che “apre gli occhi” e a vedere luoghi a cui normalmente non avreste accesso all’interno della filiera dell’abbigliamento, non solo come spettatori, ma anche come partecipanti all’esperienza.

Ringraziamo i nostri partner di Connect4Climate, un programma del Gruppo Banca Mondiale, per aver portato questa incredibile esperienza a Biella. X-Ray Fashion è stato creato dalla società creativa XR MANND, che aiuta aziende e artisti a trovare le migliori soluzioni VR e AR.

🎭Waiting for King Lear by Tommaso Mattei with direction by Alezzandro Preziosi, who also stars in the production finished touring the Veneto region of Italy late last year to critical and commercial acclaim.

The set is a curated selection of works by Michelangelo Pistoletto where actors live in and through the spaces. The costumes, designed by Fashion B.E.S.T., are made in collaboration with and Each characters wardrobe expresses the emotional journey of each character.
