Hi everyone!
We started the day with an energizer in which we danced "Gioca Jouer" all together. The Italians were up front to lead the dance and the other participants followed. We continued with an ice-breaker game after dividing the participants into groups. One person per group had a post-it on their forehead with the name of someone famous written on it and they had to guess the character by asking the others yes-no questions. Once the character was guessed, someone else took the post-it. After a short break the Greek participants led the main activity: we divided into groups again and designed a logo and a motto for the project. We then voted for the one we liked the most and group number one won. After lunch we did another ice-breaker where we divided the group into two teams separated by a blanket and one person per each team came forward without the other seeing. Once the blanket was dropped, the two people who were in front of each other had to say the name of the other person as fast as possible. The last activity of the day was another group activity where each group got aspects of society to "reform" in order to create their own utopia and then they presented it as a breaking news. The aim of the game was to think about how we could improve the general condition in the world, but what is most important, how to reach these goals. In fact, the participants had to propose actual solutions to the problems that minorities and unprivileged people face in the daily life.
To sum up, the ice-breaking activities that we proposed, helped all the people of the international work group to get to know each other better, in order to make the work in the project more efficient. All the following activities ended up being successful too, because they facilitated our understanding in the field of human rights through the spreading of awareness, which is the first step we can do to fight for equality and human rights for everyone.
