We almost didn’t make this happen. Here’s why…

🌧 Days of rain, conflicting forecasts, and one unforgettable risk.
Leading up to K&R’s wedding, the weather was completely unpredictable. We had several days of rain, and every app showed something different—some predicted rain before the ceremony, others during dinner. That morning, no rain was forecasted, but a sudden downpour hit us hard, and it felt like a sign of things to come.

But we didn’t panic. We prepared for every scenario—Plan A, B, C, and D— and when the time came, we spoke with the couple. Together, we decided to take the risk and go ahead with Plan A: keeping everything outdoors, knowing that if it rained, we’d have to delay by 30 minutes. It was a gamble, but one we all agreed was worth it.

✨ In the end, we were lucky. The weather held, and K&R had the wedding of their dreams, just as they had imagined it.

Why choosing the shape of the table for your dinner reception in advance is important:

For roundtables, we usually put one centerpiece. For long tables, we can alternate decorations, or put smaller ones and fewer of them.

Having long tables gives you more flexibility than the round tables, as you can play around with different objects and put things between the elements while having roundtables means that you must have one mandatory centerpiece no matter what.

Cindy Salgado was the best decision we made while planning our wedding. Our interactions with her were always easy and pleasant which turned the process of planning from dreadful to enjoyable.

Most wedding planners we looked into were a package deal including all their vendors; with Cindy, we were able to choose who we wanted to use. She facilitated all communications and made sure we were always happy.

We didn’t have many hiccups, but if we did, Cindy always had a
solution prepared just as she was telling us of the problem.

Because of Cindy, we can honestly say we had an absolutely perfect day. All of our guests were incredibly impressed by every aspect of our wedding, and it’s all because of Cindy’s expertise.

Saying thank you doesn’t feel like enough. We would enthusiastically pass on her information to anyone we know who wants to have their wedding in Italy. The beginning of the rest of our lives started with a perfectly amazing day, which could not have happened without Cindy’s hard work and dedication.

Let's talk about the dress code: Black Tie Vs. Formal Attire.

A black-tie dress code is strict. It means you wear black from head to toe, including a tuxedo, a formal shirt, a black tie or bowtie, and an elegant pair of shoes. The only allowance is that you can put on a dinner jacket instead of a tuxedo. The same strict rules apply to ladies who must put on foot-length gowns.

On the other hand, formal attire is more flexible: men can put on a well-tailored suit for formal wear. For the ladies, the foot-length gown is recommended. A formal dress code offers ladies flexibility such that they can put on a cocktail dress.

Trust me: YOU DON'T WANT TO MISS THIS ADVICE!

Always, and I repeat, ALWAYS have a hairstyle and makeup trial before your wedding!

Even if you arrive in Italy just a couple of days before the wedding, take your time to make a proper make-up and hair trial.

The make-up artists always start from a “nude” look and add layers to see what you like more, so on the wedding day, they will know what to do and what colors to use. It is very important to feel comfortable in your own skin on your wedding day, so please don’t skip this part! A happy bride is a bride who likes her reflection in the mirror.

Do brides have to wear a wedding veil?

Wearing a wedding veil is entirely optional, and although some brides choose not to wear them, I highly suggest doing so.

Your wedding day is likely the only time in your life that you'll be able to wear something like this, so you may want to at least try a few styles on to see if you like them, plus you can have some really BEAUTIFUL photos!

Buona Pasqua a tutti! If you're lucky enough to be in Italy for Easter, you won't see the famous bunny or go for an Easter egg hunt. But Easter in Italy is a huge holiday! Second only to Christmas in its importance for Italians. While the days leading up to Easter include solemn processions and masses, Pasqua is a joyous celebration marked with rituals and traditions. La Pasquetta, the Monday after Easter Sunday, is also a public holiday in Italy. Traditional holiday foods across Italy may include lamb or goat, artichokes, and special Easter bread that vary from region to region. Pannetone sweet bread and Colomba (dove-shaped) bread are often given as gifts, as are hollow chocolate eggs that usually come with a surprise inside. How do you celebrate Easter in your country?
