As our technical partner, SLIDE showcased an eye-catching installation at Superdesign Show 2024, featuring the Giotto lamps by Roberto Paoli and the WOW benches by Kazuko Okamoto, renowned for their bold pop and calligraphic designs.

Can we really limit waste? According to DG TAKANO, we can. 🌱‎

meliordesign was created to tackle two critical issues: water scarcity and food waste. The Superdesign Show also provided an opportunity to discover “TABLE to TABLE: Zero-Waste Circular Agriculture,” a prototype circular system that enables the clean extraction of nutrients from food scraps and their reuse in agriculture.

Embracing green solutions is possible, and the planet is grateful.

The beauty of Mount Etna's lava stone has made its way into interiors thanks to Lapilli 🌋

Start your journey again for 8 minutes and 20 seconds with Lexus

In the installation “8 Minutes and 20 Seconds” by Marjan van Aubel, the concept revolves around the time it takes for sunlight to travel from the sun to Earth. Central to the experience is an interactive sun that dominates the scene, highlighting the significance of sunlight in our lives and our interconnectedness with the universe. The installation prompts contemplation on themes such as sustainability and technology through the lens of art, offering a surreal and thought-provoking exploration.

By blending futuristic elements with natural motifs, van Aubel’s work encourages viewers to reflect on our relationship with light, energy, and the environment in innovative ways.

Geberit celebrated its 150th anniversary with "Waterscape"!

A multimedia installation curated by NEO Narrative Environments Operas that blends physical space and digital technologies to uniquely tell their story of evolution.
In line with the "Thinking Different" theme of the Superdesign Show, they created an immersive experience that celebrates their connection with nature and water, a source of relaxation and inspiration for sustainable solutions.

The exhibition traced Geberit's development from a small workshop to a global giant, showcasing new products like the AquaClean Alba and the Acanto TurboFlush wall-hung toilet.

How can design be more genderless and inclusive?

Today, we're excited to reconnect for a new session featuring some of the most talented female designers who have been part of the Superdesign Show .

We present Tina Rugelj, an architect and interior designer who also works in product design.

She worked for some of Slovenia's most prestigious architectural firms before establishing her own practice in 2011. Her first outdoor furniture line, 'Concrete Garden', was designed in 2012, and it wowed both the media and critics.

She joined the Supedesign show in 2022 presenting ‘Tales of the Adriatic’, a furniture collection that captures the beauty of the Mediterranean and motifs central to life on the Adriatic.

Today, we're taking you back to the 2021 edition to showcase the awe-inspiring installation by Biohabitat Foundation.

'AquaSymphony. Discover the Sound of water' is a roaring installation that recreates the magical sounds of the most hidden rainforests.

Together, the Bio Habitat Foundation, Latifolia, Fimac, and Serralunga unveiled a project by Davide Vercelli that aims to discover new aspects of water and increase public understanding of the value of biodiversity.

The project also propagates the culture of greenery, which has always been the Foundation's mission, even in urban areas.

New day, new pill from Superstudio and Superdesign Show .✨

We jump back to 2005 and we present the inflatable caterpillar designed by Marco Della Torre, placed on the roof of the Superstudio Più venue.

The massive installation, whose shape and dimension captivated the public day and night, was built to house artworks that sought to increase public awareness of the importance of design culture and the preservation and improvement of industrially manufactured goods.

How can design be more genderless and inclusive?

Welcome back to a new appointment with female designers presenting Nika Zupanc.

She is a well-known Slovenian product and interior designer.

In 2009 and 2010, she took part in the Superdesign Show, presenting collections in collaboration with two Slovenian design firms, Gorenje and Trimo, as well as Moooi.

Her design philosophy is built on the search for an icon; a recognisable shape, color or material reinterpreted into a physical object.

Her feminine items are emphasized by the romantic and ostentatious approach to design, which gives them a dramatic and rebellious appeal while maintaining a poetic narrative.

How nature inspires a lustrous color experience.

We present ‘A Pinnacle of Reflection’ , a 14-meter tower designed by Matteo Thun & Partners and 3M Design for the 2019 Superdesign Show.

Upon entering the tower, visitors were hurled into an immersive 3M film experience with butterflies surrounded by lights and sounds.

How can design be more genderless and inclusive?

Welcome back to a new appointment with female designers presenting Paola Navone.

She is a renowned designer who has created events and exhibitions all over the world. She has worked with many of the biggest companies in the Italian and global design scenes, and she still does.

In 2010, she participated in the Superdesign Show for the first time, showcasing a scenographic work that interpreted the Barovier&Toso glass in a big, gloomy room illuminated by intricately designed, custom-built lamps in shades of blue.

Her final participation in the event took place in 2022, when she exhibited the "Poetry House '' installation for ABK Ceramiche.

In this piece, she reinterpreted various material inspirations—like wood and stone—in an ironic and unorthodox way, summarizing the eclectic and surreal vision that is distinctive to the designer's work.

For its beauty and important meaning, "Aqua Symphony" was nominated among the best installations of @fuorisalone during Milan Design Week.
