The Special Olympics, founded by Eunice Kennedy Shriver, sister of John Fitzgerald Kennedy, is the world’s largest sports movement for athletes with intellectual disabilities, promoting inclusion, acceptance, and empowerment through sports.

Titled “The Strength of Kindness – La Forza della Gentilezza,” the Opening Ceremony in Turin officially launched the Special Olympics World Winter Games 2025 with a night of emotions, poetry, and spectacle. A global tribute to courage and unity, the event brought together 1.500 athletes & Unified partners from 100 nations, 2.000 volunteers, and 100.000 spectators in a shared celebration of human connection.

In a city that made Olympic history, Balich Wonder Studio created a show where athletes’ voices and journeys took centre stage. Broadcasted live worldwide, the Ceremony embraced diversity, resilience, and determination, turning the stage into a space of inspiration and unity.

Exactly 11 years ago, we stood at the heart of the Sochi 2014 Olympic Closing Ceremony, celebrating dreams, heritage, and the Olympic spirit.
The numbers were staggering: 5,464 costumes, 43,827 props, a towering 8-meter Polar Bear, and a circus tent spanning 600 square meters. But beyond the scale, it was the emotion—the journey of identity and hope—that truly left its mark.
Today, we honor that legacy. Because some moments deserve to be remembered.

A few days after the opening of the exhibition “Du Cœur À La Main” at the Grand Palais, Dolce&Gabbana bolsters its presence in Paris by staging an impressive Alta Moda Haute Couture fashion show beneath the grand chandeliers of the Hôtel de la Marine, located in Place de la Concorde. The collection, titled “Les Siciliennes”, celebrated the rich cultural dialogue between Sicily and the French capital, exploring the many facets of the brand’s signature color—black—through impeccable craftsmanship and intricate designs.

The show was a dazzling spectacle, marking a crowning moment in the ten-year collaboration between Balich Wonder Studio and Dolce&Gabbana—a partnership that embodies innovation, elegance, and the timeless essence of the brand. The day came alive with an immersive show dedicated to the unique spirit of . The Path to Glory lit the stage as a powerful symbol of victory and passion, drawing the audience into a journey of music and storytelling guided by ’s electrifying performance.The evening culminated with the unveiling of the King’s League trophy and an award ceremony, both brought to life under the creative vision of our entertainment professionals. In the end, Brazil emerged victorious, claiming the ultimate prize in a night to remember. Building on our legacy of crafting world-class ceremonies and shows for global sporting events, we embraced the Kings League as a new frontier—an event that combines cutting-edge technologies, innovative platforms, and dynamic new languages to redefine the essence of football.

The Opening of the Arabian Gulf Cup, held in Kuwait City on December 21st, was more than a pre-match Ceremony. It was an extraordinary celebration of Arab culture, values, history, and vision. The Opening show of the prestigious biennial soccer tournament spread a message of unity and brotherhood shared with other Gulf nations through a choral narrative that celebrated Arab heritage and its vision of the future.
The Ceremony was created and produced by Balich Wonder Studio and in collaboration with . Together, they produced a custom show using state-of-the-art technology and a combination of music, images and performances that captivated more than 57,000 fans at the Jaber Al-Ahmad International Stadium in Kuwait City and thousands of people connected remotely.

A Cultural Triumph at !

We’re thrilled to announce our double win at the BEA 2024 World Festival: 2nd Prize in the Cultural Event category and 3rd Prize in the overall Grand Prix ranking!

The 400th Festino di Santa Rosalia was certified as one of the top cultural events in the world.
With 350,000 spectators this year, the celebration was a luminous tribute to Palermo’s heritage and resilience. With creativity and reverence, we brought this tradition to life, turning the city into a living stage, with Santa Rosalia’s chariot leading a journey of transformation. Her coronation, followed by an awe-inspiring firework display, filled the atmosphere with joy and a vision of renewal.

All this would not have been achieved without the contribution of the more than 400 people who dedicated themselves to the project, so many thanks to everyone who made this possible!

G.D100 Open Art & Open Vision won the 1st Prize in the Cultural Event category at .

The 100th anniversary of G.D, a Coesia company, brought Bologna’s art and history to life as Open Vision revealed the hidden beauty of the Basilica of San Domenico through light, music, and immersive performances, while Open Art lit up Piazza Santo Stefano with projections of artworks from the city’s iconic museums. Together, these experiences created an unforgettable tribute to Bologna’s cultural legacy.

Six years after his debut at the Forum in 2018, returns to the arenas with a show that draws on international influences and unites diverse cultures. This performance brings the spirit of the desert to life on stage, offering ethereal, imaginative scenes, powerful contrasts, and poignant moments of reflection. As Simone Ferrari, Creative Director, explained: “With Ghali we aimed to create a strongly iconic, material show, made up of real scenography, taking the spectators as far as possible through his music and human legacy’. Blending surrealism and realism, this live experience promises to immerse the audience in a unique, unforgettable dimension.

The Azimuth Festival has returned to AlUla for the third year: bigger, bolder, and more experiential than ever before. A spectacular two-day festival, where 12 international artists and 14 local DJs performed across two stages from sunset to sunrise. Attendees experienced unique performances alongside acrobatic shows, fire displays, and wellness activities under the desert sky. Balich Worldwide Shows is an Italian-based company operating globally in the live shows production market. BWS creates, designs and produces large scale events, entertainment icons, special projects and is highly specialized in Olympic Ceremonies.

Marco Balich, Gianmaria Serra and Simone Merico founded the company in 2013, after more than twenty years of cutting-edge and successful experiences in global events.
