With its 36-channel sound system and enhanced by the spatialization tools provided by INTORNO, Capsula created the perfect environment for an extraordinary sonic journey during Linecheck Festival 2024.

Grace & Raffaella (Vittoria De Franchis & Michael Leuffen), presented by , captivated with their evocative manipulation of voice and samples, creating a rich sonic tapestry of archeoacoustic radioactivity and romantic psychedelia.

Renato Grieco & Giulio Nocera plunged the audience into abstract soundscapes, merging visceral vibrations and fragmented audio into hauntingly beautiful compositions.

Federico Antonini & Fabrizio Vatieri, presented by , with their reimagining of It’s a Fine Day. Their blend of granular synthesis, guitars, and field recordings crafted a poignant reflection on the evolution of sound and meaning.

Ciro Vitiello & Talpah, presented by , closed the night with a bold exploration of ambient textures and glitch-driven rhythms, fusing analog intensity with intricate digital soundscapes.

Antonini & Vatieri merge their distinct approaches—granular synthesis, guitars, field recordings, and FM synthesis—to create a captivating sonic experience. Their latest project reinterprets It’s a Fine Day, the iconic song written by poet Edward Barton and first sung by Jane in 1983. From its origins as an acapella folk piece to its evolution into a Euro-dance anthem popularized by Opus III and sampled by artists like Orbital, their performance is a sonic essay on the transformation of this poetry through time and genres.

Presented by , Antonini & Vatieri will perform on November 20th at BASE Milano as part of the exclusive artistic residencies organized by Linecheck Festival in collaboration with Kadmonia.

Federico Antonini (1985), an art director and book collector, investigates themes such as the relationship between internet platforms and care, the death of the book as a cultural object, and the specificities of media reproduction.

Fabrizio Vatieri, an artist and professional photographer with a background in architecture, integrates disciplines such as performance, music, and photography into his artistic practice.

Both Lorenzo Senni’s Canone Infinito Extended performances on November 18 and 19 are now sold out.

Lorenzo Senni presents a special extended version of Canone Infinito live at Auditorium San Fedele. This rarely performed piece has been crafted to resonate with the refined acoustics and intimate atmosphere of San Fedele, promising an unforgettable experience.

Canone Infinito begins with a haunting melody, creating a perceptual illusion: a harmonic sequence that seems to find resolution but continually restarts, forming an entrancing circle of tension and release. Senni’s synthetic soundscape invites listeners into a powerful emotional journey, weaving layers of rich tones and dynamic melodic interplay.

Opening Performance
The evening begins with Triptych (1978), Part II, by Éliane Radigue. Originally composed for a Douglas Dunn choreography, this 25-minute sonic work has since become an independent musical piece. Its circular, spiraling frequencies evolve with subtle changes in amplitude, creating a mesmerizing monochrome soundscape that sets a focused tone for tonight’s performances.

Performed by Giovanni Cospito, an artist renowned for his interpretations of contemporary electroacoustic music, this piece highlights his deep sensitivity to sound textures and minimalism. Cospito’s mastery brings Radigue’s meditative work to life, enhancing its subtle nuances within the unique acoustics of San Fedele.

Presented by Hundebiss, Ciro Vitiello and Talpah will perform on November 20th at BASE Milano as part of the four artistic residencies organized by Linecheck Festival in collaboration with Kadmonia.

Ciro Vitiello, an electronic artist hailing from Torre Annunziata and now based in Milan, crafts an immersive blend of ambient, noise, and raw analog textures. His latest work, The Island of Bouncy Memories, released on Hundebiss & Haunter Records, captures a unique sonic world where distorted synthesizers, evocative field recordings, and thunderous acoustic sounds collide to create hypnotic auditory experiences.

Talpah is a master of sonic deconstruction, known for glitch-infused rhythms and hyper-modern soundscapes. His music explores the convergence of digital whispers and primal vibrations, creating intricate, layered compositions that are equal parts rhythmic and experimental. Talpah’s creations traverse psychedelic intensity and weightless ambient moments, building a multifaceted soundscape that captivates the listener’s imagination.

Through past collaborations, Vitiello and Talpah have developed a sound that transcends the glitch and deconstructed rhythms they’re known for. Their work delves into ambient territories, guiding listeners through immersive layers of field recordings.

Presented by , a pioneering festival and a progressive force in the chasing of radical and eclectic music and avant club sounds, Grace & Raffaella will perform on November 20th at BASE Milano as part of the exclusive artistic residencies organized by Linecheck Festival in collaboration with Kadmonia.

Grace & Raffaella is a project born from a shared desire to explore speculative manipulations of voice and sampled references, blending into an all-encompassing sonic horizon that absorbs words, chords, and white noise. Summoning archeoacoustic radioactivity, romantic psychedelia, and drifting through universal backdoors, each piece is crafted through the collaborative work of curator and voice artist Raffaella and producer and writer Grace. Their debut album, Grace and Raffaella, is set for release on Meakusma.
