Can’t wait to work with

Director of rehearsals and dancer with Akram Khan Company, Nicola Monaco began his dance training at the age of 19 in Italy, where he studied contemporary dance and ballet. In 2001, he joined the professional course at Aterballetto under the direction of Mauro Bigonzetti. In 2003, Nicola had the opportunity to work with the award-winning Dutch dance company Emio Greco/PC, touring with their productions worldwide until 2008. He moved to London in 2009, where he collaborated with choreographers such as Akram Khan, Gregory Maquoma, Tom Dale, The Featherstonehaughs, and Shobana Jeyasingh Dance Company. In 2012, he was appointed rehearsal director for Zfin Malta Dance Ensemble. Nicola has been working with Akram Khan Company since 2013 and has toured internationally with productions like iTMOi, Kaash (Revival), and XENOS. In 2019, he was appointed assistant choreographer for Chotto Xenos, directed by Sue Buckmaster. In his role with AKC, he has restaged the company’s repertoire for Stuttgart Ballet, Stanislavsky Theatre, Introdans, and IT Dansa. Nicola is also officially qualified to teach the Double Skin/Double Mind methodology of ICK/Amsterdam (Emio Greco/PC).

Maren Gil Molina is a 19 year old dancer from Spain.
She started dancing ballet when she was four years old, guided by her teacher Creu Àlvarez. When she was 12, she moved to Barcelona and began training in contemporary dance at El Magatzem School with Natàlia Vinyes. There, she learned improvisation and different contemporary techniques including Limon, Gaga, Horton, Release, and Cunningham.
At 16, she joined the youth Company of the school, where she learned other disciplines such as yoga, partnering, drama, and music.
After two years of intensive learning and gaining experience in the professional field, she decided to start a new journey at Milano Contemporary Ballet.

Ludovica ha 19 anni e viene da Napoli.
Ha iniziato a studiare danza a 4 anni presso la scuola “Etoile” di Cimitile, avvicinandosi dapprima alla danza classica e subito dopo alla danza moderna, tecnica horton e hip hop. Da qualche anno coltiva lo studio della danza contemporanea.
Ha partecipato a diversi concorsi, stage e audizioni nazionali e internazionali, ed è stata selezionata per studiare 5 settimane presso la Alvin Ailey School a New York.

This is Mare, an 18 year old dancer from The Netherlands.
She's been dancing for as long as she can remember, starting dance classes at four at Ballet school Wanda Kuiper in her hometown.
In the last few years, she had the opportunity to regularly take classes at NITE/Club Guy and Roni. She participated in workshops in The Netherlands and several places in Europe, where she earned scholarships as well.
Last year, she won the Antoine Gerrits Award with her graduation solo and had the opportunity to work in a lot of versatile projects.
Now, she's part of ! Welcome .janssen ❣️

Today is Ítalo's turn!
Ítalo Leão is from Brasil and began studying ballet at Academia de Dança Clássica de Brasília. Last year, he moved to São Paulo with the intention of becoming a professional, seeking new ways of moving and looking at the world through dance, so he started studying contemporary dance at Grupo Raça.
At the same time, he took some Musical Theater classes and lessons with directors and choreographers from the job market. In July, he had the opportunity to meet Roberto Altamura at the Goiás International Festival, where he participated in a workshop and was chosen to join the Milano Contemporary Ballet.

Proseguiamo le nostre presentazioni con Ilaria!

Viene dalla provincia di Monza e ha cominciato a studiare danza classica a 11 anni. Dal 2016, sotto la guida di Alessandra Sormani, ha affiancato alla danza classica anche la tecnica modern e, dal 2020, quella contemporanea. Ha preso parte negli anni a diversi stage, tra cui il Bolshoi Ballet Academy Summer Intensive e residenze artistiche presso il Teatro Arcimboldi di Milano e l'Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater.
Oltre alla carriera nella danza, Ilaria ha conseguito nel 2023 la laurea in Lingue per lo Sport Management.
Dopo aver superato con successo diverse audizioni, Ilaria è entrata a fare parte del
Benvenuta 💛

Ilaria comes from a town near Monza and she took up ballet aged 11. Since 2016, under the direction of Alessandra Sormani, she's studied modern technique and, since 2020, contemporary technique. She took part in various stages, such as Bolshoi Ballet Academy Summer Intensive and some residencies at Teatro Arcimboldi in Milano and Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater.
Besides her path in dance, Ilaria got her degree in Languages for Sport Management.

✨ Oggi è turno di Nicoletta, danzatrice di 19 anni di Borghetto Lodigiano, provincia di Lodi.
A 5 anni si è avvicinata alla danza moderna e, dopo poco tempo, nella scuola "Spaziodanza" di Lodi, ha iniziato a studiare danza classica, contemporanea e tecnica horton, per poi cimentarsi anche nei generi jazz e hip hop.
Ha partecipato a diversi stage e competizioni nazionali ed internazionali, ottenendo riconoscimenti e borse di studio.
Quest'anno sì è unita al

Here's Nicoletta, a 19 year old dancer from Borghetto Lodigiano, North of Italy. She took up modern dance aged 5, and then began to study ballet, contemporary dance and Horton technique at "Spaziodanza" dance school in Lodi. Later, she also studied jazz and hip-hop.
She took part in national and international competitions, where she received prizes and scholarships.
She's joined Milano Contemporary Ballet for this year. Welcome Nicoletta!

Today we want to introduce Emmanuel, from Mexico.
He started his professional training at the age of 16 in Mexico City. As a student, he attended international and national dance festivals in Vienna, Barcelona and Mexico.
He has worked with international coreographers and dancers such as Xavier LeRoy, Darren McIntyre, Jose Agudo, Joe Alegado, Maribel Pinto, and has danced in important theaters and museums such as Museo Jumex, CDMX, Theatre Elisa Carrillo of the Centro Cultural Bicentenario, Teatro de la Danza Guillermina Bravo, Plaza de las Artes of the Centro Nacional de las Artes, between others.

We have the pleasure to introduce our dancers for this year ❣️
Let's start with Francine, a 18 year-old dancer from Chile.
She's been dancing since she was 5. She studied in different academies in her home country, and took part in competitions nationally and internationally with brilliant results.
Her path in contemporary dance began in 2023 at Fundación Julio Bocca in Argentina, Buenos Aires. In 2024, she flew to Italy to join the Milano Contemporary Ballet Program. Welcome Francine!

L’impulso creativo parte dal commento che l’autore ha lasciato alla sua opera: “Qui abbiamo qualcosa di apparentemente visibile poiché la mela nasconde ciò che è nascosto e visibile allo stesso tempo, ovvero il volto della persona. Our Story

Milano Contemporary Ballet nasce nel 2015, fondata da Roberto Altamura con l’obiettivo di portare nel panorama della danza contemporanea italiana una realtà di giovani danzatori.

La compagnia ha collaborato con Studio Wayne McGregor nel re-staging delle performance ENTITY, FAR e Polar Sequences. Parallelamente, ha prodotto diversi spettacoli andati in scena in Italia e all’estero, tra cui CONNECTIONS, TREdiTRE, Cenerentola, CHRONOS, Materiali resilienti, EDEN. Attualmente, MCB collabora con la danzatrice e coreografa sp****la Roser Lopez Espinosa per il re-staging della performance The Flock.
