Cari amici, oggi avrebbe avuto inizio la nostra terza edizione! 🔥 Per tutti noi avrebbe significato ritrovare tanti amici, far festa dalla mattina alla sera per tutto il weekend, goderci il mare, la musica, gli show e la compagnia!
Purtroppo, come sappiamo, per quest'anno non sarà così (stentiamo ancora a crederci) 😔 Per questo abbiamo pensato che ci sentiremmo tutti più vicini, se "celebrassimo" questi giorni condividendo i più bei ricordi delle passate edizioni, per gioire nuovamente di tutto ciò che abbiamo già vissuto negli scorsi anni! 😍 Vi invitiamo quindi a condividere foto e video, taggandoci nei vostri post (sia qui su Fb che su Instagram), in modo da potervi ripostare, da oggi fino a domenica 💪
Diamo quindi il VIA a questi 4 giorni di RICORDI, i nostri e i vostri! Un abbraccio virtuale a tutti

E' con tanta tristezza che vi scriviamo. Sono settimane che riflettiamo sul da farsi per la questione "Corona Virus". Giugno purtroppo non è più tanto distante e la situazione non dà segnali positivi rispetto al futuro imminente di attività che prevedono uno stretto contatto fisico tra le persone.
Non sappiamo esattamente cosa ci aspetterà nei prossimi mesi e davanti a queste incertezze dobbiamo prendere una decisione razionale.
Siamo certi che presto torneremo ad abbracciarci, a ballare e a viaggiare, ma in questo momento per noi ciò che conta di più è assicurare l'incolumità di tutti i partecipanti e preservare anche l’evento, di cui abbiamo la direzione.
Coordinandoci con le altre strutture e gli enti coinvolti, abbiamo dunque deciso di ANNULLARE L’EDIZIONE 2020.
Stiamo già provvedendo a rimborsare tutte le quote ai lindy hoppers registrati (controllate le vostre mail).
Siamo certi che ci vedremo nel 2021 e che sarà un anno ricco di belle esperienze e di sorprese alle quali, per non perdere tempo, stiamo già lavorando! 
Con la speranza di tornare presto ad essere sereni, vi mandiamo un caloroso saluto e rimaniamo a disposizione per qualsiasi vostra esigenza.
Un grande GRAZIE di cuore agli artisti, ai partecipanti e allo staff che, insieme, avrebbero reso speciale anche questa edizione.

We are writing to you very sadly. The Covid-19 situation is serious all over the world and we thought about our festival for a long time. June is coming and the situation doesn't change quickly enough. We know how much we miss social dances, hugs and travels. Being able to be all together in June, on the beaches of Salento, to dance until dawn... would be a dream!
But we must be realistic and not to risk missteps.
We pray that the Pandemia of Covid-19 doesn't extend yet, but for us, what matters most is to ensure the safety of all the participants.
Coordinating together with all the other structures involved in the festival, we have decided to CANCEL THE 2020 EDITION. All the fees paid so far will be fully refunded (we sent you an email with the instructions to receive the refund).
We are sure that we will meet in Otranto in 2021 and that it will be a year full of beautiful experiences and surprises that we are already working on! 
With the hope of returning soon to be serene, we send you warm greeting and remain available for any of your needs.
A big THANKS to the artists, participants and staff who, together, would have made this edition special too.

Lizette Rönnqvist 🎉 Balla sin dalla tenera età e si innamora molto presto delle danze swing. Infatti inizia a competere da giovanissima. Oggi si concentra maggiormente su spettacoli teatrali, social dance e sull'insegnamento.
SEGNI DISTINTIVI? 🤩 Come le grandi donne del passato, lei ha fascino, stile e femminilità da vendere! È membro degli Harlem Hot Shots, il più celebre gruppo di ballerini svedesi. Infatti Lizette trae la maggior parte della sua ispirazione dai grandi ballerini che erano attivi durante la Swing Era. In particolare i Whitey’s Lindy Hoppers.

Lizette Rönnqvist 🎉She dances from an early age and falls in love with swing dances very early. This is why she starts competing at a very young age. Today she focuses more on theater performances, social dances and teaching.
IDENTIFICATION MARKS? 🤩 As a 40's woman, she has charm, style and femininity. She's a member of the Harlem Hot Shots, the most famous group of Swedish dancers. Lizette gets most of her inspiration from the great dancers who were active during the swing era. In particular dancers from Whitey’s Lindy Hoppers.

Un altro protagonista del nostro Festival? Anders Sihlberg! 🎉
Svedese, ha studiato danza sin da piccolissimo, dal balletto al contemporaneo. All'età di 10 anni si innamora dell'Authentic Jazz e poi del Lindy Hop, così da non poterne fare più a meno. Oggi insegna regolarmente al Chicago Swing Dance Studio e viaggia per diffondere la sua passione per la danza. ☺️ SEGNI DISTINTIVI? Gambe lunghe, anzi lunghissime! Dal 2017 è membro degli Harlem Hot Shots, il più celebre gruppo di ballerini svedesi che rende un fedele tributo alle danze della Swing Era e allo stile di Harlem.

Another protagonist of our Festival? Anders Sihlberg! 🎉Swedish, he studied dance from a very young age, from ballet to contemporary. At the age of 10 he falls in love with Authentic Jazz and then with Lindy Hop, so that he can no longer do without it. Today he regularly teaches at the Chicago Swing Dance Studio and travels to spread his passion for dance. ☺️ Identification marks? Very long legs! Andiamo avanti nel conoscere altri due Teachers del nostro festival! 🤩 Sondre Olsen-Bye e Tanya Georgiievska: lui norvegese, lei ucraina. Hanno iniziato a ballare ed insegnare sin da piccolissimi. Tanti sono i titoli che hanno vinto nelle innumerevoli competizioni mondiali ed europee a cui hanno partecipato, soprattutto nell'ambito del boogie woogie.
Segni distintivi: Facce d'angelo, occhi chiari e sorriso perenne! 😃 La loro giovialità arriva prima di ogni cosa. Il loro piano è quello di continuare a competere, esibirsi, insegnare e condividere la danza swing che amano, in ogni modo possibile! 💥

Pronti a conoscere il secondo nome internazionale del nostro festival? 🤩 Mariel Gastiarena ha iniziato a ballare Lindy Hop nel 2004, quando aveva 14 anni, ma la sua formazione musicale è a 360 gradi, suona infatti il clarinetto, il pianoforte e canta.
SEGNI DISTINTIVI?😏 Sorriso contagioso e sguardo vispo! Che balli danze swing o canti accompagnata da una jazz band, emergono sempre grande energia e personalità.
Insieme a Juan Villafañe e Manuel Bicain ha creato "Swing City", la prima scuola di Lindy Hop in Argentina. Da anni Mariel viaggia in tutto il mondo, ospite dei più prestigiosi swing festival internazionali... A giugno sarà con noi per il Salento Swing Festival 2020 - Live in Otranto!!! 🎉
