There’s a shift happening in destination weddings in Italy...

Beautifully curated settings, thoughtful design and a sense of harmony are nowadays essential.
But more and more, couples are looking beyond that, creating celebrations that feel rooted in something more personal 🥹

Not just visually beautiful, but meaningful!
Grounded in real memories, shared values and a sense of authenticity.

For this farewell gathering, the idea started from a very simple place: Sunday lunches at home 🍝

Long tables, shared dishes, time stretching a little longer than expected. A rhythm that felt familiar, comforting and deeply personal to the couple.

So instead of a formal goodbye, we designed a pasta party that felt like an extension of that tradition.
Handwritten notes were placed at each seat, a quiet way to bring those memories into the moment, without overcomplicating it 😍

Everything was still carefully considered.
But it didn’t feel constructed.

It felt like them.

And perhaps this is where destination weddings in Italy are evolving: where aesthetic and meaning exist together and where the most memorable moments are often the ones that already belong to you ✨

If you're planning a multi-day destination wedding in Italy, think about what already feels meaningful and let that become part of the experience.

We have the last 3 spots available for 2027 wedding season. If you're dreaming on a destination wedding in Italy that is authentic and truly represent you, let's connect 📩

“Have you worked at this venue before?”

Every now and then I hear this question…which is a fair one and I completely understand where it comes from…

Because we intentionally take on a limited number of weddings each year and work across different regions of Italy, it’s actually quite rare for us to return to the same venue twice.

And in many ways, that’s part of what I love most about this job and the reason why I chose it 🥹

Let me share why not having worked at your preferred venue before is not an issue for us:

✨ Background and expertise: before becoming a wedding planner, I worked on the venue side within the luxury events industry in Venice. That experience taught me how to understand a space quickly: how it flows, how service works, where guests naturally gather and how the atmosphere shifts throughout the day.

💡 Fresh eyes, clear perspective: rather than relying on repetition, we approach each venue with fresh eyes, shaping the celebration around the space and the couple. Every location becomes an opportunity to design something truly personal.

💬 A collaborative approach: we never step into a venue with the intention of “taking over”. We work closely with the venue team, understanding their service flow while also representing our couple’s priorities.
We also always schedule a dedicated logistical site visit ahead of the wedding, allowing us to plan every detail thoughtfully and in collaboration with the venue team.
This balance allows us to create a smooth planning process where both guest experience and operational needs are fully respected 🥹

Every venue has its own rhythm.
Our role is simply to read it and design something that feels effortless within it 🤍

If you're planning a 2027 wedding in Italy, whether you already have your venue booked or are still in the exploring phase, we currently have the final 3 spaces remaining for that season.

If you're planning a destination wedding in Italy and envisioning more than just one day, this is where the process begins ✨

Most of our couples choose a multi-day celebration. A welcome evening, time to explore together and a wedding day that feels like the natural continuation of the experience 🥂

While Tuscany is often the first image that comes to mind, Northern Italy offers a quieter kind of beauty: frescoed villas, elegant settings and the calm of the water surrounding you. Historic palaces overlooking the lake, boats arriving at sunset, aperitivo in lush gardens and candlelit dinners that unfold slowly into the evening 🕯

There is a certain refinement in the atmosphere, where architecture, service and guest experience naturally come together. Refined, but never ostentatious. Celebrations that feel understated yet deeply considered, shaped around time shared and a sense of effortless elegance.

Planning this kind of celebration requires intention, thoughtful logistics and a carefully curated team behind the scenes, especially when designing a wedding in Italy from abroad.

We take on a selected number of weddings each year to ensure each celebration is shaped with the level of care and attention it deserves 🤍

If you're planning a 2027 multi-day wedding in Northern Italy, let’s connect! I’d love to hear what you are envisioning 📩

Sometimes the most memorable part of a destination wedding in Italy happens before the wedding day…

This evening was meant to be simple. A relaxed welcome dinner where everyone could arrive, settle in and start spending time together.

Long tables outdoors, inspired by a traditional Italian trattoria. Pizza served straight from the oven 🍕 gelato passed around 🍨 and that easy, familiar feeling that slowly brings everyone closer.

Guests finding their place, conversations starting naturally, laughter building as the sun went down.

The evening also became a quiet celebration of the bride’s parents’ wedding anniversary, which inspired a red dress code and added a very personal touch to the night 🥹

Nothing overly structured, just the right elements coming together. The kind of atmosphere that doesn’t need much, yet becomes one of the moments everyone remembers.

Because a welcome dinner in Italy is rarely just about the food…
It’s about creating a shared experience from the very beginning ✨

If your idea of a wedding weekend in Italy includes exploring small villages together with the people you love, discovering local traditions and sharing long meals around one table 🍝

…you may already be imagining the kind of celebration we love creating 🥹

For many of our couples, a destination wedding in Italy is not only about the wedding day itself, but about the experiences that unfold throughout the entire weekend.

From wandering through small villages to truffle hunting in the countryside or learning to cook together in an Italian kitchen…these shared moments often become some of the memories couples and their guests talk about long after the wedding weekend is over 🤩

Because a wedding in Italy is rarely just one day.

It’s an experience meant to be lived slowly, together 🥹

Sometimes the most difficult part of this job is saying no.

Recently I had to turn down a wedding I would have genuinely loved to plan.
The couple was wonderful, their vision was beautiful and aligned with the venues they’d just booked and Italy would have been the perfect setting for their celebration 🇮🇹

A few years ago I probably would have tried to make it work anyway. Adding one more wedding to the calendar and convincing myself it would all fit somehow.

But experience has taught me some lessons and changed my perspective.

Planning a destination wedding in Italy, especially when it’s a multi-day celebration, requires an enormous amount of presence behind the scenes. Not just during the wedding weekend itself, but in all the months leading up to it: the conversations, the decisions, the creative process, the constant coordination that slowly brings everything together ✨

That level of attention is something I care deeply about. And it’s not something that can simply be multiplied.

For this reason, at àmia events we choose to take on only a selected number of destination weddings in Italy each year.

Not because we want to do less, but because every couple who entrusts us with their wedding deserves the time, care and clarity that this kind of celebration truly requires 🤍

So sometimes the right decision is saying no.

Even when it would have been a beautiful wedding.

A wedding in Italy is rarely just a wedding...
More often, it feels like a return to something ✨

For some, it’s personal: family roots, summers spent here, a place that has always been part of their story.
For others, it’s different. A country they fell in love with while travelling. A feeling they’ve never quite found anywhere else.

The light. The slower rhythm. Long evenings outdoors, incredible food and that quiet sense that everything is unfolding exactly as it should.

This is why couples choose a destination wedding in Italy not only for the scenery, but for the atmosphere they want their entire wedding weekend to hold.

Because an Italian celebration isn’t defined by one beautiful villa or an iconic view.
It’s shaped by time shared slowly, thoughtful hospitality and details that feel effortless to guests while an exceptional team takes care of everything behind the scenes.

Nothing loud. Nothing excessive.
Just the right choices, the right people and an experience designed with intention from beginning to end.

For us at àmia events, that’s what quiet luxury in an Italian wedding truly means 🤍

If Italy has long felt like somewhere you belong, your celebration may simply be waiting to unfold here.

The full portfolio of this Italian celebration is now live on our website.

When that click happens, you feel it immediately. On both sides 🥹

After our first discovery call, Jamie and I both knew. There was alignment, but more than that, trust. A shared sensitivity and a clear vision for their destination wedding in Italy 🇮🇹

Planning a multi-day wedding in Italy from the US can feel overwhelming. The distance, the logistics, the cultural nuances. Especially when designing a two-day wedding celebration that needs to feel effortless yet deeply personal…

This is where experience and intention make the difference.

With clarity and thoughtful guidance, complexity becomes seamless. Every decision is intentional. Every detail shaped behind the scenes.

Here are Jamie’s words:
“Could not recommend àmia events more. We’re based in the US and were completely overwhelmed by the idea of planning a two-day wedding in Italy, but from our very first meeting with Cecilia, we knew we were in the best hands. She immediately understood our vision and it was clear how deeply she cares about her work and her couples. Her constant communication was incredibly reassuring, especially planning from abroad. She truly took all the stress out of the process leading up to the wedding (aside from the normal nerves), and when the time arrived, she was on top of every detail for both days. If anything didn’t go as planned, we still don’t know — everything felt absolutely perfect to us!” 🤍

For us at àmia events, planning a wedding in Italy from abroad is not about scale or spectacle. It is about discernment, trust and creating celebrations that feel refined, personal and quietly extraordinary.

And when the experience feels effortless, it is because every layer has been carefully shaped long before your guests ever arrive.

Our 2027 calendar is now open for a limited number of multi-day celebrations in Italy 📩

That relaxed, minimal aesthetic everyone loves right now?
The one that feels quiet, timeless, almost effortless…

It looks simple.
But it rarely is.

Behind that kind of ease there’s always a lot happening.
🏛 a venue where history, architecture and contemporary lines quietly coexist.
📸 a photographer able to capture moments that feel unposed, yet intentional.
🌺 a floral designer who understands that restraint is an art, knowing what to add, what to remove and how to honour empty space.

And then there’s the planning 📆
The part you don’t see.
The conversations, the timing, the balance, the decisions made long before the guests arrive…
Because what appears effortless is, in reality, carefully orchestrated ✨

Timeless weddings don’t happen by chance.
They are the result of vision, experience and many invisible choices made well 🥹

Quiet luxury doesn’t try to be noticed.
It simply feels right 🥹

And this is exactly where our work begins…

Quiet luxury is often felt, not announced ✨

It’s not about pale palettes or minimal design choices alone.
And it’s certainly not about what photographs best.

Quiet luxury lives in the things that don’t ask for attention: in the quality of what is chosen, in the experience that unfolds naturally, and in the intention behind every decision 🤍

It’s the feeling of time slowing down, of an Italian destination wedding designed with care, set in exceptional locations where history, beauty and five-star service exist in effortless harmony 🏛
Places that don’t need to impress, because they already belong.

For me, quiet luxury means designing celebrations in Italy where nothing is excessive and nothing is missing.
Where place, people and rhythm are in perfect balance and every element has a purpose, a cadence, and a reason to exist 🌿

Because true refinement doesn’t raise its voice.
It stays.

As we look ahead, our 2027 calendar is now open for a limited number of thoughtfully curated celebrations 📆
