Se esiste sempre un dritto e un rovescio della stessa trama, così anche per la musica elettronica, in opposizione ai contesti mainstream, sussistono realtà ed artisti che han fatto della controcultura e dell'undeground la proprio scelta di vita. ROBERT DREWEK è senza alcun dubbio colonna portante di questa filosofia, nata da quella scena Berlinese che da sempre se ne frega di social, photo, video, prediligendo suoni di profilo e qualità. CEO di Dbh music e a/r di Rawax,Chiwax,Housewax, per gli audiofili più esigenti non ha bisogno di presentazioni. Se senti un vinile girare a Berlino, molto probabilmente è arrivato dalle mani di Robert.

Biographie:
Robert Drewek If you are looking for groovy house with techno impressions – Robert Drewek is the right man. Inspired by the early frankfurt clubs XS and Omen, Robert started his dj-career in 1994. Driven by his passion for music he improved his skills very quickly which lead to an opening slot at Mannheim's MS Connexion for DJ Hell and Dave Clark in 1997. In the years from 2004-2007 Robert was a resident dj at the Monza club in Frankfurt and startet to tour around Germany and Europe to bring his music into the hearts of countless people. Since 2004 Robert released a couple of own productions on labels like Housewax, i220, UNLEASH and HOUSEWORX.Despite his career as a dj he worked from 2000 to 2007 for the music distribution ELP Medien in Offenbach and managed the labels for artists like Marco Carola, Adam Beyer, The Advent, Eric Prydz, Jesper Dahlbäck and many more. At the end of 2007 Robert left ELP Medien and startet his most ambitious project. Alongside Alex Bau and Jörg Henze he founded his own record distribution DBH-Music.Today DBH is one of the most important record distributions for electronic music and the home of Roberts own label RAWAX which had an amazing impact in the scene since day one with releases from Robert Armani, Ron Trent, DJ Sneak, Boo Williams, Ricardo Villalobos Roy Davis Jr., Atom Heart, Rick Wade, kevin Saunderson, Robert Hood..to name a few! Since 2013 Robert was very successful in pushing his labels and playing all over Europe and South America with highlights like his infamous label showcases at Kater Holzig in Berlin, Club der Visionäre, Robert Johnson, Wilde Renate, Griessmühle, Nitsa Club, Sonar and of course at legendary Tresor.Since 2014 Robert got his own monthly residence at Tresor with RAWAX.

A journey where techno enters a land of shadows and rarefactions, escaping images, dark suggestions. Where gravity becomes a relative concept, uncertain, and where cinematic refractions count as much as the dance floor rules, in a continuous encounter/clash.

It is time to get involved. After plenty non-trivial satisfactions, at the end of 2013 comes the time for Federico to higher the stake: He leaves the "Clockwork" project for a solitary one.

The richness of past experiences, the years in New York at heart (and in the musical and retinal education). A musical background that goes from the sharp and geometrical hip-hop of Gang Starr to the spirituality of Basic Channel's techno dub (passing through the visionaries of Radiohead and to the complex lightness of Matthew Herbert).

Now, all this brings the will to give life to a new sinuous, fascinating and profound creature.

"Millenium EP" in 2014, four tracks that create space, that map an itinerary, that breathe deeply.
Following on that is‚ "Vertere" in 2015, a collaboration with Mind Against bringing the listener on a journey outward while mirroring a simultaneous labyrinthine journey inward.
2016 brought us‚ "Triangle", taken from‚ "A Realm Through Consciousness" the very first Afterlife release. With its repetitive, mesmerizing synths and effective reverb, the track is an odyssey within itself.

2017 saw the release of Metropolis on “Just This”, which is swiftly followed by the first EP to be released on his new joint label with Portrait, Aura Dinamica, which is distributed by Âme & Dixon’s Muting The Noise.
