THE CEREMONY

The ceremony of a wedding, symbolically, religiously or civilly, is the moment when you say yes to each other. It is also the moment when you may want to say personal wedding vows and put the rings on each other.

Although the exchange of rings, the symbol par excellence, is the highlight of many wedding ceremonies, there are also other rituals, such as handfasting, that can have just as much meaning that can replace or complement the exchange of rings.

Tying the hands is intended to symbolize the coming together of the couple. Untying the hands symbolizes that the couple stays together of their own free will.

And vows are made personal by you with a few words, a wedding poem or a longer vow to express your love to each other!

DREAMING OF THIS?

Droom jij ook van een heerlijk Italiaans diner aan mooi aangeklede lange tafels met je lieve vrienden en familie wat begint rond zonsondergang en plaatsvindt op een prachtige locatie met een adembenemend uitzicht over glooiende heuvels?

Lieve Jeannine & Raphael hadden het allemaal; een prachtige symbolische ceremonie met live music, een aperitief met heerlijke hapjes en drankjes met een champagne tower, gevolgd door dit prachtige diner en het eindige met een dansfeestje met een DJ en een open bar tot 3:30 in de ochtend. En de volgende dag nog een brunch & pool party! Allemaal op deze prachtige locatie!

Some spotlights on this stunning table setting made for Riccardo & Aidan, celebrating their love for each other at . ✨

Their palette, inspired by Italian summers with lemons and olive branches and of course some white roses, symbolizing loyalty, is not only used to create this pretty table setting but throughout the various wedding moments to unify the whole event and enhance the overall aesthetic, involving the talented flower designer and calligrapher ! Hot Weather Wedding?

You’re getting married this week in Italy and you’re looking for last-minute ways to keep yourself and your guests cool?

Wedding stationery is an essential part of wedding planning and you can make it as simple or extravagant as you want, but all your paper goods should no matter how suite combined, sharing the same design style. 

On the photos you can find some pretty paper goods as the seating plan, the table number card, the place card and the menu card made by for the charming wedding of Roberta & Kolja at , with lovely flowers of .

I love their seating plan with their most important and funny numbers, as the number of wedding dresses she tried, the number of honeymoon destinations they considered and the number of dearest and nearest guests they invited.

Naturally more pretty paper goods were made for them as the wedding invitations, the mass booklets and the welcome board to make their wedding even more unique!

Together we will figure out which pieces are essential and which ones you may not need.

Lovely after-dinner moments after a delicious extensive dinner with great speeches in between the courses and before the after-party:

- a very funny self written song, dedicated to the couple, sung by a friend, obviously completely out-of-tune, on the music of ‘Don’t you worry child - Swedish House Mafia’
- cake cutting and dessert buffet
- bouquet toss to the single ladies
- sparkler tunnel with perfect kiss

And the sparkler tunnel is of course followed by dancing, loads of alcohol and more dancing :)

Ja, dat ben ik gedurende een bruiloft, stiekem gefotografeerd door .it . Daar loop ik van een plek naar een andere zonder te storen en om eventjes snel een berichtje te beantwoorden of een telefoontje te plegen :o)

Uiteraard met mijn kleine wonder tas mee waar van alles en nog wat in past, zoals een aansteker om uitgewaaide kaarsen aan te kunnen steken, plakband, spelden, punaises, naald en draad en pleisters in geval van nood, papieren zakdoeken in geval van tranen, maar ook een anti-muggen-spray en uiteraard mijn telefoon, mijn borstel en het programma, mocht ik eventjes de draad kwijt zijn :o)

Ben ik iets vergeten? Moet ik volgens jou nog iets anders achter de hand hebben? Ik hoor het graag! 💬

Valentijnsdag, Dag van de Liefde, is een dag waarop geliefden elkaar extra aandacht geven met cadeautjes, bloemen of kaarten.

Eerlijk gezegd hou ik niet zo van deze commerciële dagen en ben ik meer een voorstander van af en toe, op willekeurige dagen, een lief briefje, een mooi bosje bloemen of lekker etentje. Ik moet er eerlijk gezegd zelfs niet aan denken om vandaag uiteten te gaan en tussen allemaal andere koppels te zitten en verliefd te doen terwijl ik hem vandaag misschien helemaal niet lief vind of niet in de mood ben voor een romantisch etentje.

Natuurlijk prima als jij dat juist wel leuk vindt en vandaag een mooi cadeautje ontvangt en/of geeft. Stiekem is het altijd leuk een lief briefje of mooi cadeautje te ontvangen, niet? En, tja, mocht het dan ook nog eens een prachtige verlovingsring zijn met passende oorbellen, natuurlijk nog leuker, niet?!

Vraag je je af waarom ik mijn activiteit Bacialupo heb genoemd? Wist je dat dit letterlijk ‘kus van de wolf’ betekent? Je zou bijna een mooie legende verwachten, waaraan deze activiteit zijn naam dankt, niet?

Het is echter een eerbetoon aan de eerste familie die op deze boerderij woonde in 1680 en waar ik nu met mijn man, 3 kinderen en hond woon en een B&B en mijn activiteit run. Hun naam was Bacialupo, een poëtische naam die hoe dan ook tot de verbeelding spreekt, niet?

En, tja, de kus is het hoogtepunt van de trouwceremonie, toch? Het is echter te hopen dat je partner geen wolf als bijnaam heeft! 🤗
