Le sue mura hanno attraversato secoli di storia, accogliendo famiglie illustri e mutamenti di epoche, fino a diventare oggi un luogo di cultura, accoglienza ed eventi.

Il 16 ottobre 2025 il Castello di Solfagnano tornerà ad accogliere il G7 su Inclusione e Disabilità, rinnovando un dialogo che un anno fa ha lasciato un segno profondo.
Nel 2024, tra queste sale nobiliari, i ministri dei Paesi del G7 hanno firmato la Carta di Solfagnano, simbolo di dignità, uguaglianza e umanità condivisa.

Accanto alla statua di San Francesco, la Ministra Alessandra Locatelli e la famiglia Colaiacovo hanno piantato un ulivo, gesto di pace e speranza destinato a radicarsi nel tempo.

Da allora, il Castello è divenuto più di un luogo: un terreno vivo, dove le parole si trasformano in impegno e l’inclusione trova casa.

On 16 October 2025, the Castle of Solfagnano will once again host the G7 on Inclusion and Disability, renewing a dialogue that left a lasting mark one year ago.
In 2024, within these noble halls, the ministers of the G7 nations signed the Charter of Solfagnano — a symbol of dignity, equality, and shared humanity.

Beside the statue of Saint Francis, Minister Alessandra Locatelli and the Colaiacovo family planted an olive tree, a gesture of peace and hope destined to endure.

Since then, the Castle has become more than a place — a living ground where words turn into action and inclusion finds its home.

On October 16th, the Castle of Solfagnano will once again host the G7 on Disability, to review the progress made so far and outline the challenges ahead.

Last year, the G7 Ministers, meeting between Assisi and Solfagnano, adopted the Carta di Solfagnano, a document establishing eight key priorities for true and lasting inclusion.
These include: access and accessibility, independent living, workforce inclusion, technology for people, sports and culture, dignity of life, and emergency prevention and management.

This year, the G7 returns to the Castle, and for us, it is a great privilege to host this international moment of dialogue once again. It reaffirms our commitment to these issues and our dedication to making the Castle not only a guardian of history, but also a place that helps build a more inclusive and just future for all.
