Our 2024 season has come to an end and we have so many fabulous stories, advice and inspiration to share with you.

You HAVE to be a people pleaser to do this job! Why else would you consider the long hours on your feet, the “I want it this way” and the enormous responsibility?

I realized this after years in customer service and financial planning. I had no difficulty in talking about money with my clients and you know how much a wedding can cost, and my interest in building a relationship with who I’m working with brought me here!

Well, it wasn’t that straightforward but I found my niche when the company I was working for, who began exporting thanks to me (this is the only time I’ll be tooting my own horn) closed from the economic crisis of 2008. This was my crossroads moment.

I was a new mom and wanted to raise my son but still be able to work with international clients. This is where my years of experience in organizing and planning, my linguistic skills and my love for design and creativity could come to life.

So here I am. Seven years later. Still loving every minute of what I do. I don’t have regular office hours due to accommodating different time zones but I don’t mind. I love my couples and they leave a lasting impression in my heart. My goal is to do the same with them. ❤️

What makes destination weddings so great?

You gather your best people into one place and have a two to three day celebration that you and your guests will never forget. So many couples who’ve had “traditional” weddings say it either went by so fast or they would have invited half the guests there.

Destination weddings allow you to do just that, invite the guests you REALLY want to be there and enjoy their company in a destination of your choice. For many couples it offers them an opportunity to reunite with their besties or families who are in another country for this special occasion. What a wonderful way to reconnect!

If you’ve been invited to a destination wedding know that you are an important guest to the bride and groom. So try your best to be there.

As we count down the days to this year’s weddings we reflect on so many fun moments our couples shared with their guests in 2023.

One was having a gelato cart at their event. The summer dessert choice for Italians and for many of our brides and grooms. Take a look at our 2023 bride’s smile as she waits to dig in into her gelato cup.

There’s always a special connection between my couples and myself. When you consider the planning window of 1-2years, I get to know them and what’s important to them. So I cherish the lovely letters and notes they leave with me.

I have a lovely wall with these beautiful letters in my office and, every once in a while, I read them and reach out to my couples to see where they are in the world and how married life is treating them.

I’m always grateful for our couples. ❤️

Today, International Day for the Elimination of Violence, is so important! Did you know that:

More than five women or girls are killed every hour by someone in their own family.
Almost one in three women have been subjected to physical and/or sexual violence at least once in their life.
86% of women and girls live in countries without legal protections against gender-based violence.

Italy still has a long way to go to enforcing laws to protect women who are threatened by their partners but let’s remember that we can teach our boys and girls what respect looks like and how to detect and stop making excuses for another person’s actions that are making you uncomfortable. Call it out, shout it out, someone will help you! You are not alone.
