Dopo varie peripezie,
Imprevisti, quarantene, contatti vari, acciacchi della vecchia del team (Federica ) siamo finalmente riuscite ad uscire e vederci di persona dopo troppi mesi. Chiacchiere, idee e tanti progetti. Quest’anno è stato duro e complicato,
e ci ha costretto a sospendere per un po’ le attività di ARS, ma ora siamo pronte a riprendere più cariche che mai. Ora a voi, quali attività vorreste riprendere? Scrivetecelo nei messaggi

E finalmente dopo tanto tempo, il direttivo ARS si è riunito dal vivo :) e almeno noi due abbiamo fatto l’aperitivo. Speriamo di riprendere presto anche il nostro .

The Renaissance Antiqua (old style) letter was derived from calligraphy, and here I am putting it back into the pen. Workshop planned in June, to be announced.

Gothic Fraktur Online Class with
as its name indicates is characterized by discontinuous broken strokes. It was the typography used for most books printed in Germany between the XVI and XIX centuries. It could be said that Fraktur it's an evolution from previous gothic scripts and has details from Textura or Batarde. In this class, we will study a contemporary version of the original Fraktur but strongly influenced by the work of the late master Hermann Zapf.

Class level intermediate/advance (beginners can take the class but it is recommended some experience with broad edge pens).

In this course we will work on a contemporary interpretation of italic calligraphy with a more flexible and versatile tool, the flat brush.
We will begin with the basic of the Italic style, then we'll start with some basic exercises that will help us understand the handling and behavior of the brush and then we will introduce a classic ductus of the lower case.
Moreover we will see capital letters and we will work on techniques that will help us apply more energy and gestures to our letters and compositions.
