2024 Wedding Trends

How to create the Dutch Masters Inspired Wedding look

Invitations: Choose dramatic suites with lots of brilliant blooms.

Style: Pick rich bold shades for your bridesmaids such as burgundy, dark teal and rich royal blue and pair with lush over sized bouquets. For the groom and his men pick blazers with lots of luxurious texture such as velvet and pair with velvet or satin bow ties. And for the bride, chose a dramatic showstopper to bring the glamour.

Flowers: Look to the Dutch Masters paintings for classical sprawling floral and fruit inspiration for your arrangements and bouquets. Think big blousy roses and ranunculus, paper-like anemones and poppies, small pretties such as fritillaria and tulips and trailing blooms such as clematis and sweet pea. Add in fruits such as figs, pomegranate and grapes for a truly authentic Dutch masters look.

Cake and Decor: Create a romantic and stunning visual impact with lots of moody candle-light and flowers everywhere. A beautiful white cake with calligraphy and fresh flowers placed on top finishes off the look.
