MANDRONA
50x70 silkscreen print, black ink on white paper.
Edition of 40.
In Sardinian language, Mandrona means lazy. So I started from this word to describe our relationship with time, an ode to laziness, an invitation to take our time and rest without shame.
In our society, obsessed with performance and productivity, we often forget the pleasure and the importance of doing nothing. Especially if you are socialized as a woman, home time is associated with care work, and not taking care of your house/family is seen with internalized shame first of all by ourselves. I know that it is also a privilege that many of us can’t even think about.
Taking your time, taking your space.
