With my change of location comes some big plans for 2025 with my very own little flower truck 🥰🤩 for being out on the road and doing pop ups! 🌿💐
I started this business with pop ups and markets and I must admit the freedom behind it is a luxury I have missed.

Stay tuned as I work through this project in the hopes to have it up and running for spring next year or hopefully sooner 😉

Yay to October 1st (my personal favourite month) 🍂🍁
Lots of change coming up with packing up the shop over the next two months, I want to assure everyone that this is not a closure of business!!
I am very much trading just it is mostly online and pop ups from 30th November. I am going back to my original routes to hopefully also allow a bit more me time and family time as this has been really tough to have while juggling the shop, and to be honest what has become two seperate businesses with how busy things are with a stained glass business which I have met my busiest year yet and a flower business which has just bloomed into something I had always wished for with constant wedding bookings and steady deliveries so a big thank you to all my customers and I hope you will stick with me through this change.

Anyways to celebrate autumn and due to a lot of demand I have set up a couple of autumn wreath making workshop dates 🤩 this will still be in my shop at First Tower and will all be about having fun and getting creative, check it out via the link below 👇

Exciting news 🤩
As my plans for the shop and location have still been all up in the air, I can now happily confirm that I have been busy setting up my very own home studio, so that as the First Tower shop comes to it's end (november 30th)I still have somewhere to work from for my website sales, stained glass and weddings. From here as mentioned previously I will aslo be giving a go at growing my own flowers 🥰 and hopefully also have more time to get creative.

To add to this news I am now able to confirm locations for workshops for xmas wreaths and throughout next year with Jersey Heritage at the Jersey Museum and Hamptonne 🤩 for further details concerning these do get in touch. I will hopefully be uploading to my website next week some dates too but for all large groups wanting to book with me please do get in touch to get your dates in the diary.

Today's job is up St Saviour's Parish Hall doing a few repairs in the cherry picker with , I have left the Jacky and my mum in charge of the shop who will both be busy prepping flowers and getting orders out for delivery so do please be patient with us today 🌿

Congratulations to Alice and John who got married at Elizabeth Castle followed by a reception at Mont Orgueil Castle (fabulous tour of the Jersey castles for their guests 🤩)
They went with a beautiful colour palette of whites, pastel pink with delicate touches of blue delphinium, thistle and forget me nots 🥰 with lots of trailing eucalyptus (the marquee smelt amazing!)

NEWS 🌿🌷💐 This will be a long post.

It is with a very heavy heart that today I have handed in my notice on my shop premises at First Tower ☹️ THIS IS NOT THE END of JM Emporium though!! The location is just no longer right for me. I have been in this shop for just over 5 years now (wow where has the time gone!) But sadly with the rise of costs and to get a bit of a better balance with things and life I have had to make this decision.

My notice takes me till the end of November so I am not disapearing from First Tower just yet and will keep everyone posted as we go on with what I hope may be a potential new location 🤞

We will still be operating online and over the phone so these services will not be affected.
Something EXCITING 🤩🥰 I have also been doing is putting plans in place for growing my own flowers (currently in progress) and going down a more sustainable way of floristry so stay tuned as I start bringing more light on this.🌿🌻💐

The change of location will not affect my weddings/ events service, stained glass and delivery services. I am still working out my workshop side of things, people who usually book in with me and who are intending to do so this year please do still pop me a message for what dates and locations I will be offering (more details for these will follow soon).

I will miss all my loyal customers of First Tower and hope you will all still stick with me 🌱

I thought I would do a bit of a different post today. Not meant as a rant on my part just hoping to bring some awareness for customers when using your favourite florist 🌷

The part people don't think of when booking florists for any event or even for an every day order is the labour behind the scenes of it all. I can't tell you how often I hear "you have such a great job just playing with flowers" or "arranging flowers that must be such an easy job". Firstly yes I love my job and business but like any job it has it's ups and downs, easy and hard parts.

Every single flower stem is prepped upon arrival.
They all come down bunched up and wrapped with leaves, thorns ect you name it. We therefore have to work quickly and check over everything, dethorn, deleaf and sharp cuts to the ends and pop them in water for a good drink before doing anything with them. This does take time when a big order much like today's comes in for events. After this, the creative part starts of arranging them, which again can take time. Lots of early starts and late evenings making sure especially for weddings that everything is done in time for your ceremony / guest arrival time. Constantly worrying in the summer are the flowers going to last in this heat, making sure your large feature pieces are sturdy, the list goes on.

I therefore ask that next time you say to a florist that is an expensive bunch that you take a moment to consider the labour that goes into their work on top of the initial flower price. Flower prices continue to go up, this is no fault of your local florist and living on an island we also have shipping costs and travel days which all have their impacts on the product along with the worry - will the boats get the flowers here in time.

Hopefully this helps shed a little bit of inside light to what we do and thank you for taking the time to read this post 🌿

Here at JM Emporium we treasure our passion for creativity. We are at the same time a stained glass studio as well as a florist boutique, we would not be us if not for our love and passion for these 2 skills.

We aim to help restore Jersey’s churches and private homes with any stained glass needs as well as create new and unique designs, to help give your home the look you want.

As a florist we offer a large range of gifts to include fresh fragrant bouquets, candles, plants and much more. Specializing in weddings, we love to get to know our customers to help provide them the decorative event of their dreams. If you have a theme or specific ideas we can work around that and help not only with your floral needs but also with any props (candles, wood work, crystals, vintage suit cases and much more). What your heart desires JM Emporium will do it’s best to achieve it!
