Collected since the 1980s, the collection includes original period pieces as well as contemporary costumes. The costumes on offer start from 16th Century reproduction costumes and distressed items suitable for historical plays right through to contemporary modern day pieces. There is a fabulous collection of funky fun 1960s ad 1970s retro outfits including halter neck dresses and Daddy Cool pimp outfits complemented with afro wigs. We have Jamaican bandana, Halloween and pirate’s costumes, and over 1000 hats, wigs and shoes and other accessories.

The Girls' Brigade International believes in a just society where all people are equally valued. We have watched the news over the past few weeks and have been horrified with events in the USA. We stand with and pray for our sisters and brothers who are experiencing and coming face to face with the ugly face of racism, injustice and prejudice.

CSW Update #11

The GBI Delegation of Hope has been preparing for CSW for months by setting up meetings. One of our aims is to connect with leaders from other Christian NGOs and the best way to have intentional conversations is over food (of course!).

Our first networking dinner was with Amanda Jackson from World Evangelical Alliance, Helene Fisher from Open Doors, Emma Dipper from All Nation's College and Kristen from A21. It was a great night of conversation which will hopefully lead to action! Thanks for praying!

Today (Monday) we reviewed the GBI strategic plan, evaluated the impact of attending CSW63 (Commission on the Status of Women) and discussed new global research reports that could help Girls' Brigade remain relevant and vibrant. Please pray for the people of Western Australia, South Australia, Queensland, New South Wales, Victoria and Tasmania, as the fires are still raging throughout Australia. Lives have been lost as well as many homes and it has created an ecological disaster. Pray for God's miraculous intervention - for rain and strength for the firefighters as they face this inferno.

God can do the impossible! Matthew 19:26.
