Eagles Nest Art Center has a load going on for the holiday season! First up is our Dinner and a show Oconee Mountain Opry November 23. Country gumbo and cornbread is the dish of the evening starting at 530. The roots music and comedy start at 7pm. The artists are Scott Low with Appalachian acoustic blues, Dogday Bluejay sends Americana to your ears, CONSERVATION THEORY plays original Appalachian folk and we will have special guests as well. If great food and music aren’t enough wonderful reasons to get out for The Oconee Mountain Opry on Saturday, Opus Trust will be previewing their artifact room with items from The Civilian Conservation Corps circa 1933- 1942. A historical adjunct to the mission of Eagles Nest Art Center, eventually these artifacts will be displayed with the story of the CCC and explanations ofbwhat everything was used for.
