Yoshi loves music and records so we’re starting to show him the ropes by letting him try with his own little record player. I think it will still be a little while before he can carefully do it on his own but it makes for some fun family time.

💚 Green Day 💚 Osaka, Japan 💚

This was a long time coming and my going was a series of really lucky coincidences lining up just right. I had tickets to see Green Day in Osaka back in early 2020. Unfortunately, a global pandemic cancelled the show and they weren’t able to come back to Japan until now.

I didn’t get tickets because, well, life happened. I don’t live in Osaka anymore, I have a kiddo… but it just so happened that the weekend I was coming to Osaka for work happened to be the same weekend as Green Day’s concert! But tickets were beyond sold out so there was no chance. Right?

WELL. There was a lottery for canceled tickets. My friend offered to watch the kiddo for me. And from there it was fate! I won a ticket and got to go see my all time favorite band. I couldn’t be happier 💚💚💚

🌸 Call me basic, but the first day of Sakura Frappuccino season is one of my favorite. Spring is coming and the Frappuccino is peachy and delicious! My only beef with Starbucks this time of year is that by the time the cherry blossoms are already starting to bloom, the Sakura drinks are all gone. But for now, I’ll enjoy them while I can and dream of spring and cherry blossoms to come!

We went to Benzaiten Hakuryuoh Daigongen Shrine, one of Japan’s power spots. It’s said that a white snake is a god here and if you are very lucky, you will see it and be very prosperous. Lots of people were looking! But no snake sightings today.
