So, I'm back from series of out of town shoots. Here's a portrait color grading w/ skin retouching time lapse of one of the videos I'm editing right now. Of course we want our clients to look their best as much as possible so we spend time retouching without sacrificing the details. The lighting in this situation isn't great so I had to spend a little more time color correcting before color grading. Then, I proceed to skin retouching. I also add softlight and glow to make it look more dreamy. Then, proceed to polish it at the end. Prewedding Shoot Tip #2: Theme-based Prewedding Films need more time planning and cooperation between the clients and the video production team.
I encourage clients to communicate with us a lot in the planning stage. Specially, if the theme of the shoot is very challenging. Keita and Blissy was my workmates during the time we filmed this that's why we had a lot of time discussing everything regarding the shoot. They are also very cooperative and willing to provide things that will increase the production value of the film.
I may recommend hiring a fashion stylist, Hair and Make-up Artist, set designers, and scriptwriters to achieve the theme perfectly. We have friends who are specialists in these fields.

Prewedding Shoot Tip #1: It's okay to do ad libs during the shoot
Even though we direct almost everything during the shoot, most of the best shots come from our clients' ad-libs. In this scene, we set up the wood where they're going to sit, the fire, and we instructed them on what to do, except for the moment when they warmed their hands by the fire and Jun held Sen's hand. That made the scene feel more natural because Sen's smile was a mix of surprise and 'kilig'. ❤️
Because of this, I’ve started encouraging my clients to ad-lib or add whatever feels right to them during each scene.
