Miss Bennet Christmas at Pemberley
A Chrismas play continuation to Jane Austen’s Pride and Prejudice.
It is the 22nd December 1815 and we see
the Bennet sisters reunited at the Darcy’s Pemberley Estate.
The play focuses on Mary Bennet,
the nerdy middle-sister.
Mary is growing tired of her role as the dutiful middle child
in the face of her siblings’ romantic escapades.
When the family gathers for Christmas,
an unexpected guest sparks Mary’s hopes for independence,
an intellectual match, and possibly even love.

ジェーン・オースティンの「高慢と偏見」のクリスマス劇の続編。
1815年12月22日、ダーシー家のペンバリー邸でベネット姉妹が
再会する場面が描かれます。
劇の焦点は、オタクっぽい真ん中の姉メアリー・ベネットです。
メアリーは、姉たちの恋愛騒動を前に、
忠実な真ん中っ子としての役割に飽き飽きしています。
クリスマスに家族が集まると、予期せぬゲストがメアリーの独立、
知的な出会い、そしておそらくは愛への希望をかき立てます。
