With the theme of “Building Bridges With Music,” the first solid bridge that KMC built was between Japan and Australia at KMC 2009. The Osaka based punk duo, Riot Dance Party performed at a venue in Osaka with a band from Australia, and a relationship was established that created a debut international tour for RDP that took them to Australia in 2010 and 2011.

Your chance to be On the World Stage @ KMC 2025!!
KMC will be held from April to October 2025. As the world turns its focus to the Kansai area for EXPO 2025, participating KMC artists will be featured on public stages, live clubs, cafes and possibly at Expo 2025. Applications will be accepted from 1 July, 2024.
