Yesterday went very well, a befitting fare-thee-well tribute to mum.

Brian did a sterling job with the food and I've expressed my appreciation to him. He did not let either you or me down, especially considering I'm the one who recommended your services. Kindly accept my profound gratitude.

Unfortunately, the function was held in an open field, hence many took advantage of that to get a free (unaccustomed?) meal. The upshot of it was that Brian valiantly fed many more beyond our estimate!!
