Road safety is seen as a shared responsibility and requires partnerships with various sectors, including the private sector, faith-based institutions, NGOs, and civil society groups. The government of Kenya has recognized the importance of road safety and has established the National Transport and Safety Authority (NTSA) as the lead agency for road safety in the country. The action plan aims to enhance and strengthen Kenya's road safety management
system through effective coordination and collaboration across different government agencies. The action plan also emphasizes the integration of road safety into all policies, programs, and projects at both the national and county levels, as well as in the private and corporate sector. Additionally, there is a need to systematically review and improve road safety legislation, particularly in relation to safety standards for public transport operators, boda boda (motorcycle taxis), and motor vehicle drivers. The government aims to achieve these goals through sustainable collaborative and multi-sectoral partnerships and coordination

We want resolutions like quitting drink driving, don't care attitude, make more time for families and so forth. This year, why not include a road safety new year's resolution? Its easy and something that requires commitment for years to come; to be safe on the road, be a road safety ambassador and to preserve life. Road Safety is a message of love. If you love your family you better change your driving skills as well. Drive safely next year to see your loved ones

Our Story

Road Safety Marathon (KEN) is an annual road race event mainly for Road Safety Awareness through sports. 1st edition was held at Juja Town 0n 11th December 2016 while its 2nd edition was held at Gwakung'u shopping, along Nyeri Nyahururu Road on 19th Nov. 2017.

Due to lack of sponsors, the event was absent for two years (2018 2019). The 3rd edition (2020) is destined to take place on Sunday 15th November 2020 in Nakuru County, Nakuru town . The event coincides with the "World Day for Remembrance of Road Crashes Victims" (WDoR). The event reminds us how quickly and easily an accident can happen on our roads and change ones life. We would like to encourage people to use the day as an opportunity to look at our own actions as drivers or pedestrians on the roads and the role we play in keeping our roads free from accidents.
