The idea of going to the theater is to be inspired and get insights into life. The play KILLING TIME currently showing at The Phoenix Theater does just that.
As performed by Gilbert Lukalia and Marrianne Nungo this engaging thriller sheds a cynical light on the psychological games, baits, calculations, manipulations, and deceptions that people with certain scheming natures will engage in to attain their goals.
Lukalia and Nungo provide a captivating palette of emotions for their roles, digging deep into the script to enrich the otherwise singularly deadly and cold-blooded characters. They skillfully explore the human vulnerabilities and interpersonal dramas of the characters as they dangerously unmask each other.
It is an exciting performance by two outstanding actors who are going through what will be one of their finest moments in Kenyan theater. Delivering a forceful portrayal that leaves you asking if the perfect deception does exists.
