We want to say...

THANK YOU!

💜💚

Sorry, but this has to be a long one 😅

After some well needed days of rest, Svay Chanti Collective would like to take the time to show our gratitude to the people that made this event one to remember.

From the planning, organising, designing and construction efforts that enabled the festival to take shape - to the musicians, performers, workshop hosts and vendors whose lights shone bright.

Special mentions go to:

Finn for project managing and organising so many facets of the event, in a calm, seamless and crazily impressive way.

Mickey for the incredible amount of brain hours and physical effort that she put in yet again! She's a real machine and a main driving force behind the project.

Jimmy enabled the festival to look as impressive as it did. After his efforts in building and designing, he put on a beautiful visual projection performance. His talent knows no limits.

Stef (our favourite Bavarian bear!) once again showed off his carpentry and chainsaw skills.

Ben with his infectious commitment and dedication completed our talented construction trio that worked together to create something that we are all incredibly proud of.

Power, lighting, sound (and some delightful tunes) were handled by Nick, someone who you just know will do his job and do it well. Nick's dad Jim joined us for a few days and was kind enough to show some of the others what hard work really looks like!

Sound and stage management was also being taken care of by our DJ coordinator (and music's jockey) Danny, as well as our live music coordinator and insatiable performer Ant.

The decor team was coordinated by Ayla to create a specific, quirky theme, that allowed us to lose ourselves in the beauty of the festival setting.

Dave ran a tight ship at the bar for the second year (besides his other responsibilities) with help from Marek, Issy, Iain, Flick, Ellinor, as well as Ed and Will, who were kind enough to let us host the festival on the beautiful land they share with Angie and Nick.

Yoshi arranged a great selection of workshop hosts, as well as ensuring we live up to our commitment of striving to be as environmentally friendly as possible.

Elisa was everywhere, helping wherever she could, with whatever she could, during a very busy time for her.

Thanks go to Connor and Smashed Burger who kept people fed with (we're telling you here...) the best burgers in Cambodia!

Artwork, flyers and logo designs once more were created by Pauline, who has the ability to turn a description of an idea, into a visual representation that goes above anything we ever expect.

Derek has cemented himself as our go-to guy for first aid - a hugely important job and we're happy that we can feel safer with him around.

Sassa provided a template for the games which Nicole and Leifur hosted brilliantly.

Thanks to the music givers - Danny, Nick, Keimo, Wictor, M***a, Andre, Brook, Jules, Ant, Leifur, Max. You guys were a delight.

Thanks to the workshop hosts - Nic, Jenn, Alix, Elora, Yoshi, Jules. It was so nice to have you here sharing your passions.

Thanks Jen for your commitment and support. Thanks Elsa and Sandra for the fire show. Thanks Ro and Jarrod for the campsite. Thanks Oskar for flyering. Thanks Jenna for painting the logo. Thanks Matt for the first aid. Thanks Sonja for the ice tea. Thanks Mark for the toasties. Thanks Allison and Adam for the signs. Thanks Sina for feeding our people. Thanks Max for the photos. Thanks Petra for the videos. Thanks Elvira for the advice.

Thanks to ALL the staff, volunteers, business owners and villagers who used their time and energy to provide a special occasion for everyone.

We owe so much to so many people that it's REALLY difficult to name all of you, but you know who you are.

But specifically thanks to all of the guests who came and enjoyed themselves. We hope you could take pleasure in visiting this beautiful area of Cambodia, our village, and this project.

Many thanks from Svay Chanti Collective 💜💚

We Got This ✌️

Astrology workshop with Yoshi
Saturday 12:30-13:45.

Learn about some of the astrological trends for 2023 - with a pragmatic attitude, you can apply the new knowledge to your life, without predicting the future (each of us has free will), but with an expanded awareness.

During the workshop, you will learn what collective changes the North Node transition from Ta**us to Aries (in July 2023) will bring.

Astrological QA.

Yoshi is a western/tropical astrologer who combines ancient knowledge with psychology.

Astrology is her true long-time passion.
Yoshi is not concerned with predicting the future, but with spreading knowledge and empowering the individual, to make conscious decisions based on their astrological traits.

💙💚💜

Cambodia is home to R.M.Page. It's where he learned to appreciate and distribute the music that makes you feel accepted on the dance floor.

With love at an early age for some of the music scenes in London and Bristol, he was moulded by a group of friends with a passion for DJing - in its purest and most truly underground form.

Nesat Village's original resident DJ; he was there for the first party, and he plans to be there for many, many more.

He has passionately refined his repertoire, collected over the years, to provide a joyful and irresistible sound experience.

You will be ready to dance.

A wristband gets you access to the festival area where games, music and workshops will be happening. The money we make from wristbands helps to ensure we can continue to put on special events like We Got This Festival in the future.

We Got This Festival has a bunch of workshops over the weekend including Yoga with Jules @ 9am - 10:30am on the Saturday.

Vinyasa with Jules is an all levels whole body stretch and work out. We start by waking up the body with various pranayama (breath work), gentles warmups, then flow with invigorating holds to build stamina. We will build up to apex pose that engages your body on all levels, before a series of cool down stretches and a savasana that allows you to release, relax, and restore. Finish with cleansing breath work and a short guided meditation.

An All levels class that is perfect for the new yogi learning the fundamentals or an advanced practitioner looking to deepen their practice.

Please bring your own yoga mat if possible.

Jules is an American singer-songwriter who picked up the ukulele while living in Kampot Cambodia during Covid. Influenced by her older brothers' 80/90 grunge, alternative, and hip-hop, her mother's love of country and 80's hair bands, and her father's obsession with pop music from the 60-90, her love for music has been fostered by the eclectic mix of all those around her.

Her music is a mix of soft acoustic renditions of oldies, pop, and indie rock, with the occasional twist on some well-loved classics. Her sound can be described as easy-going coffee shop vibes.

Brooke Palmer is a soulful, joyful, funky and, at times, slightly ridiculous singer, songwriter, musical improv artist, and ukuleleist originally from North Carolina. Happiest when galavanting aimlessly about the planet, Brooke has been known to randomly highjack microphones and radiate cheerful vibes wherever she goes.

A former resident of Sihanoukville, Brooke is currently based in Kampot, where she runs her Youtube channel, “The Uke Revolution”, bringing funk ukulele to the masses. Expect an eclectic mix of covers and originals. Brooke just wants everybody to have a good time, a giggle, and a bit of a b***y shake.

21/02/2023

Visual artist and violinist at a young age, Keimo has been living for some years in Kampot, Cambodia (2016-2021). Here he managed to express his own vision, with the collective KanoPi, and established a position at the forefront of soundsystem and underground electronic music culture in Cambodia, delivering magical experiences to crowds surrounded by nature.

You could have crossed paths with him in many places around Europe or South East Asia with the Label Curuba Records, or Tangerine, Casa Nocte, Mazukamba, La Horde, Jux...
Or maybe at festivals such as Wonderfruit or Traintime in Asia, or in Europe at Chateau Perché, Atom, La Joséstanie and Bonanza.

He shared a stage at parties and International festivals with incredible artists such as Peter Power, El Bùho, Martha Van Straaten, Spaniol, O/Y, Photay, Ground, Mamazu, Reple, Gerra G, Jacob Groening, Jaja, Mimi Love, M.RUX, Yeahman, Âme, Viken Arman, Garstique, K***s, Blond:ish, Recondite, Denis Horvat, Rampue, Heimlich Knüller, Zigan Aldi, Ditti, Shimon, Psycho Tropiques, Kurup, EXZ, Da Iguana, H2o and many other amazing beings.

Providing hypnotic rhythms, fruity exotic grooves and acidic-organic cocktails, his sets bring you into a whole new dimension. Merging sounds from today and from the past - ancient and oldschool, mixed with more modern patterns from all over the globe, his sound crosses borders between genres and brings stellar and rhizomatic dances.

Now Based in France (and floating around Asia), we are fortunate that our paths have crossed at this time and Svay Chanti Collective are sure that this will be a special collaboration 💜💚

Trash is Nice!

What is 'Trash is Nice'?

They have a facility in Phnom Penh where they collect plastic waste and process it into new products.

They also organize workshops for schools, individuals or organizations who wish to learn more about plastic, pollution and recycling.

During 'We Got This' festival you will find Trash is Nice running an Up-cycling workshop where participants will be able to create a small pouch from discarded plastic.

The Trash is Nice team will also be present with a display of some of their work, throughout the festival, to answer any of your questions about the recycling process and associated outputs.

Introducing...

Ljósvaki (LIVE)

Ljósvaki performs an eclectic mix of self produced electronic music, combining R’n’B, funk and dance styles resulting in a playful hybrid of avant-garde pop beats layered with dreamy live vocals.

Depending on the circumstance he brings either serenades, shenanigans or a combination of the two, always keeping it light and not afraid of suddenly switching things up on the spur if the moment.

Leifur is one of the newest residents of Nesat with a background in both the Reykjavik (Iceland) and Berlin (Germany) music scenes where he has been living and working on projects solo and with other artists as a composer and performer for the last 15 years.
