C.F.B.C Dance Ensemble ( St.Kitts) "Dance is your pulse, your heartbeat, your breathing. It's the rhythm of your life.

It's the expression in time and movement, in happiness, joy, sadness and envy." ~Jaques D'ambroise The CFBC Dance Ensemble is open to full time students of the Clarence Fitzroy Bryant College. The main aims are:

To enhance dance technique in a variety of genres
To develop skills in dance composition
To be provided with performance opportunities
To improve posture and body alignment
To increase c

onfidence
To develop leadership and team building skills
To be empowered about the following: time management, conflict resolution, event planning, etc

Dress code: Any dance / fitted attire in either blue, black white or grey

Presently there are forty-three (43) dancers, 42 females and 1 male. Classes are held twice weekly: Friday afternoon and Saturday evening or when deemed necessary. Emphasis is placed on ballet / lyrical, afro-caribbean, abstract, jazz, modern, folk, swing, dancehall, soca,etc.

Dance classes for the new year begin THIS SATURDAY (Sept 9) at the Victoria Road Community Center from 6PM - 7:30PM. Registration is from 5:30PM - 5:55PM.

Attire: Dance wear in white, blue, black or grey

Kam Captures Her First Crown

In June she finished her two years with us, went off to University in August and in September (30th) she won the Miss Caribfest Pageant in Texas. Came out on top in every segment too. No surprise there for she always lights up the stage. CONGRATULATIONS Kamilah! Enjoy your year of reign and keep shining!

Can't wait to enjoy this dynamic and varied session of choreography highlighting the favorite dance styles of the dancers. Some will be whimsical, some will be touching, some will be make you say Wow, Wow, Wow!

We did warm up exercises, progressions and learnt a short routine. We did some bonding activities too. Then it was cupcakes and delightful snacks to end another successful OPEN DAY. Many thanks to the 30+students who joined us. SHOW US WHAT U GOT is our next activity for prospective members. Stay tuned....
