We’re starting off July with the 29th European Film Festival in Lebanon, in partnership with Metropolis, and wrapping up with a live concert by sandmoon in Tripoli 🎙️

ليلى، امرأة فرنسية من أصل عراقي، تتواصل مجددًا مع والدها، المعارض لصدام حسين، بعد حادث وسنوات من المنفى. من خلال تعلم اللغة العربية وغناء قصتها، تبدأ في إعادة بناء علاقة شكلتها المسافة والمقاومة والشوق للحياة.

دعوة مفتوحة | ورشة فن الحكاية المرئية من خلال التصوير الفوتوغرافي

انضموا إلينا في ورشة تفاعلية لمدة ٣ أيام تركّز على فن سرد القصص البصرية من خلال التصوير الفوتوغرافي!

تهدف الورشة إلى تزويد المشاركين\ات بأساسيات التصوير الفوتوغرافي وتقنياته لسرد القصص من خلال تسلسل من الصور. سيتعلّم المشاركون كيفية التخطيط، والتصوير، وتحرير قصة فوتوغرافية سيتم نشرها على منصات يرى.

Open call | Storytelling Through Photography Workshop

Join us for a 3-day hands-on workshop focused on the art of visual storytelling through photography!

The workshop aims to equip participants with fundamental photography skills and techniques for telling stories through a sequence of images. Participants will be guided through planning, shooting, and editing a photo-based story to be published on Yura's platforms.

منحبّ ندعيكم للأمسية الموسيقية "يللّي تحبّ الوَرد".🌹
هي رحلة موسيقيّة عبر ذاكرة الأغنية العربيّة، بحثًا عن القصائد المغنّاة التي احتفت بالزهور، سواء كمجاز للحبّ والمشاعر، أو بوصفها كائناتٍ تنبض بالحياة.
تقدّم أمل كعوش (غناء) وفرح قدّور (بزق) هذا التجوال الموسيقي ما بين أعمال كبار الشعراء والملحّنين والمغنّين العرب، من بينهم بيرم التونسي، زكريا أحمد، أم كلثوم، سيّد درويش، أسمهان، محمد عبد الوهاب، وزكي ناصيف.

أمل كعوش فنانة متعددة التخصّصات، وهي مؤلفة أغان ومغنّية، درست تقنيات الغناء الشرقي في بيروت وتعاونت فنيا مع عدة موسيقيين في لبنان والعالم. تهتم بالموروث الغنائي العربي لا سيما تراث بلاد الشام وبالأخص فلسطين حيث تهتم بجمع ذاكرة شعبها.
فرح قدور موسيقية وباحثة، تعمل بشكل أساسي في مجال الموسيقى العربية التقليدية والشعبية. تسعى إلى إعادة اكتشاف صوت البزق والتجريب فيه، مسلطة الضوء على التقاطع بين هوية هذا الصوت وهوية موسيقى جديدة متجذرة.

We'd like to invite you to the musical evening "Yalli Tehibb El-Ward".🌹
It's a musical journey through the memory of the Arabic song, in search of sung poems that celebrated flowers—whether as metaphors for love and emotion or as living, breathing beings.

Amal Kaawash (vocals) and Farah Kaddour (buzuq) present this musical voyage through the works of great Arab poets, composers, and singers, including Bayram Al-Tunisi, Zakaria Ahmed, Umm Kulthum, Sayyid Darwish, Asmahan, Mohammed Abdel Wahab, and Zaki Nassif.

Amal Kaawash is a multidisciplinary artist, songwriter, and singer. She is interested in the Arabic vocal heritage, particularly the music of the Levant and especially Palestine, where she focuses on preserving her people's collective memory.
Farah Kaddour is a musician and researcher whose work primarily revolves around traditional and folk Arabic music. She seeks to rediscover and experiment with the sound of the buzuq, highlighting the intersection between the instrument’s identity and that of a new, rooted musical expression.
