A chant that we all know and love! Saint Lucia allow us to reintroduce our beloved Ricky T!

Ricky T’s first release in 2024 was “The Perfect Getaway” followed by “Just Your Turn” and “Look Something to Talk About”. He is also featured on music with up-and-coming Saint Lucian artistes Mata and Bronxx on “Better Than Them”, BlackChiney on “Lean Back” and veteran Saint Lucian artiste Kakal on “Mwen Ki La”.
‌
His rallying cry “Wham to Dem!” is immortalized on the 2007 hit “Pressure Boom” and has become as synonymous with Ricky “Ricky T” Joseph as that monster hit that took him from Saint Lucian stages to the Trinidad Soca Monarch finals and later Madison Square Garden in New York where he performed alongside Trinidad soca legend Machel Montano.
‌
He now stands as the winningest Saint Lucian soca artiste with 22 competition titles – an unprecedented eight Road March, eight Power Soca Monarchs, three Caribbean Soca Monarchs and three Groovy Soca Monarch crowns. His last title was the 2022 Groovy Soca Monarch for “Live Life”.
‌
The Guinness Freestyle musical competition was the first Ricky T ever entered. After that he worked with Derek Yarde of Saint Lucian band, DYP on the soca song, “Mange Manman’w” which then led to “Container” and then “Pressure Boom” and the rest as they say, is history.
‌
Ricky T was named a Saint Lucia Cultural Ambassador in 2020 and a Saint Lucia Carnival Ambassador in 2023 and 2024. In March 2023, he was awarded the Medal of Merit Gold during the Investiture Ceremony held as part of the observance of Saint Lucia’s Independence. And, in that same year, he came second in the Power Soca Monarch competition with “Kay Ou” and third in the Groovy Soca Monarch competition with “Never”. Ricky T’s music has been featured on international soca music compilations - VP Records Soca Gold and Fox Fuse Get Soca and performed at every major Lucian fete and festival and has toured all over the world with hits like “Freaky Girls” and “Sully”.
