Melbourneโs GMJ (Gavin Griffin) and Matter (Matty Doyle) joined forces in late 2015, a triggered recognition and magnetism for their shared perspectives and love for deep, atmospheric music leading to the formation of the GMJ & Matter collaboration.
Over the 8 years that have followed, a natural synergy and seamless understanding has seen works constantly flow with remixes for top tier artists amongst a raft of original works on seminal labels including Sudbeat, Replug, Balance Music and Mango Alley to name a few.
2020 set the stage for the conception of the pair's โMeanwhile Recordingsโ imprint, which has evolved into one of the most respected labels in the industry, as a platform for their own signature sounds with a raft of original and remix material, as well as becoming a destination home to some of the worldโs finest artists.
