"This Pink Elasticated crop turtleneck and elasticated black woven shorts with pink details were inspired by the wild growing peach trees in the mountainous parts of Lesotho. I remember taking a trip in the spring season and we travelled through Thaba Tseka. The wild peach trees had these pink cherry like blossoms with some darker shade. The dry landscape was covered with pink shades and to me that the symbolized the end of snowny cold weather that sometimes brings suffering to the unfortunate. What I wanted to incorporate into it was the feeling of happiness and living carefree, and of course being young again. By dying the darker shade of pink to the ends of the crop top and adding pink patches to the shorts, the outfit brings out a warm playful imagery. I decided to make specifically shorts and a crop because in Lesotho the beginning of the spring season is always chilly and a lot of people automatically change to summer clothes but the idea of this garment is to keep warm while showing off one is ready for summer, hence the one sided off shoulder with black strap. Making the perfect youthful garment for the spring season".
