Professor of Conducting at the Robert Schumann Hochschule Düsseldorf

We are very excited and honoured to be back on stage with Maestro Bohn and look forward to working with this great professional.

Rüdiger Bohn studied piano and conducting at the conservatories of Cologne and Düsseldorf. As a pianist, he won several international chamber music competitions and performed regularly as a concert soloist before devoting himself exclusively to conducting.

After master classes with Leonard Bernstein, Sergiu Celibidache and John Eliot Gardiner and various theatre positions as répétiteur and conductor at the Théatre de la Monnaie (Brussels), the Basel Theatre and the Lübeck Theatre, Rüdiger Bohn regularly accepts invitations from major symphony orchestras in Germany and abroad.

His repertoire ranges from the early classical period to the classical modern period, with Bruckner and Mahler always forming a focal point.
