🎪Janvārī noslēdzās šī gada pirmā Rīgas cirka rezidence Baltijas māksliniekiem. Tajā pie izrādes “Kehakõne” topošās versijas ģimenēm ar bērniem strādāja cirka apvienība no Igaunijas Big Wolf Company.
🎪Big Wolf Company ir pirmā profesionālā laikmetīgā cirka apvienība Igaunijā. Tās dibinātājas ir Grete Gross un Lizeth Wolk.
Izrādē “Kehakõne” māksliniece Grete Gross aicināja piedzīvot vietu, kur sajusties mājīgi un silti, kā vecmāmiņas klēpī, kurā var atslābt maigumā, uzticoties drošiem pamatiem zem sevis. Sajust telpu, kurā laiks šķietami palēninās, aicinot pamanīt mazos, skaistos sīkumus, kas bieži paliek nepamanīti. Vietu, kurā ir viegli vienkārši būt.
🎪Rezidences noslēgumā notika darbizrāde, kurā bijām aicinājuši piedalīties Rīgas cirka bērnus, kas ir cirka entuziastu sociāls klubs. Bērni un vecāki bija sajūsmā par darbizrādi, izskanēja tādi komentāri kā: “Es jutos kā sapnī”, “Man patika simts miljards procenti”!
🎪Grete Gross par pieredzi rezidencē saka: “Rīgas cirka rezidences nedēļa palīdzēja mums ienākt pilnīgi jaunā “Kehakõne” pasaulē. Šī pasaule ir jauns spēļu laukums, un tajā izveidojās skaidra izpratne, ka šī spēles telpa ir kaut kas, ko vēlamies dalīt gan ar bērniem, gan pieaugušajiem skatītājiem.”

🎪In January, the first Riga Circus residency for Baltic artists of this year concluded. During the residency, the Estonian circus collective Big Wolf Company worked on the upcoming version of the performance Kehakõne for families with children.
Big Wolf Company is the first professional contemporary circus collective in Estonia. It was founded by Grete Gross and Lizeth Wolk.
🎪In the performance Kehakõne, artist Grete Gross invited the audience to experience a place where one can feel cozy and warm, like in a grandmother’s lap, where one can relax in softness, trusting the solid ground beneath them. A space where time seemingly slows down, encouraging people to notice the small, beautiful details that often go unnoticed. A place where it’s easy to simply be.
🎪At the end of the residency, a work-in-progress performance was held, where we invited children from the Riga Circus social club for circus enthusiasts to participate. The children and parents were thrilled with the performance, with comments such as: “I felt like I was in a dream” and “I liked it one hundred billion percent!”
🎪Grete Gross reflects on the residency experience: “The residency week at the Riga Circus helped us land into a completely new world of Kehakõne. This world is a new playground and holds a clear understanding that this space of play is something we wish to share with both children and adult audiences.”
