…. rest in peace Sonny Gatt……our country has lost a top sculpturer … he was our neighbour in the Ta’ Qali Crafts Village for over 25 years …. and our neighbour just round the corner in Hal-Lija …..he was involved in so many projects…. Being such a hard working, humble and dedicated craftsman, his daily smile was enough to understand that he was always up to something ….. condolences to his whole family … he will be definately rewarded up in heaven for his whole holy journey of life …..

It was a great pleasure to receive a donation in appreciation of a piece of art from artist, Madeleine West, after the Attard Cultural Activity, Iffjurit bil Ward Infewwah held on 5th May, 2024. Thanks Madeleine. I will surely treasure it.

Madeleine West is an artist who studied art under Esprit Barthet, Harry Alden and Anton Agius. Last year Madeleine took part in the National Art Exhibition at St John's Cavalier, Valletta. She also took part in numerous collective art exhibitions. Her work has always been positively reviewed and appreciated.

She paints the people, the sea and the Maltese landscapes that surround her with special interest in the Maltese traditional village environment. Her favourite mediums are acrylic and oil.

Madeleine 's paintings can be found in several private collections both in Malta and overseas.

Again many thanks for your great piece of art to be with my art collection.
