When it comes to love stories, the tale of Princess Elizabeth falling head-over-heels for strapping soldier, Prince Philip of Greece and Denmark, is worthy of its own Disney film. It’s one that goes back to the Thirties, spanning over 70 years making Philip the longest-serving royal consort in British history.
He first caught her eye in the summer of 1939 when Princess Elizabeth was just 13 years old.

Fast forward to Philip's death on 9 April 2021 and the couple have been married a total of 74 years, with four children, eight grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Side-by-side they had travelled all over the world, from Australia to America, Africa and India, flying the flag for the Commonwealth headed up by Her Majesty. They’ve shared total commitment to their duties and service and they always had each other to lighten the burden of public life with a little bit of laughter. Nothing tickled them more than a ceremonial mishap. In private he called her ‘Lilibet’, ‘Darling’ or ‘Sausage’ and they loved a telly supper together.

The singer, who performed the national anthem at yesterday's ceremony, arrived at the presidential inauguration wearing a custom Schiaparelli Haute Couture look designed by Daniel Roseberry. The ensemble comprised of a navy, cashmere fitted jacket and skirt in washed red silk faille with a gilded dove of peace brooch.

Kamala Harris is the Vice President of the United States of America, meaning her husband, Douglas Emhoff, is now the first-ever "second gentleman" in the nation's history. In private, Harris has been a wife and stepmom (adoringly referred to as "Momala") since her 2014 wedding to Emhoff. Vice President Kamala Harris first met her husband on a blind date after being set up by a close friend. Harris admitted in an interview that she did, in fact, Google her future husband. "[My best friend] said, 'Just trust me. Just trust me,'" Harris recalled. "You know, she wanted me to just kind of go into it. She said, 'Don't Google him.'" In a fit of laughter, Harris added: "…I did!"

Emhoff proposed privately in his then girlfriend's apartment on March 27, 2014. By then, the couple had dated for "about a year," Kamala Harris and her husband were married just five months later. They shared an intimate wedding in a courthouse in California, in August 2014. The bride's sister, Maya Harris, officiated the nuptials.
